Great tacos and salsa! Especially the red salsa. The ceviche tostada was delicious, very fresh. Loved the fish taco. Can’t wait to got back and try more!

Amazing Tacos!!The salsas that they give with the tacos are so good!Quick service. The server was very nice and helped me decide my order.I always get confused if there are too many options. We would definitely visit again! They might have vegan options too but I only tried vegetarian when we went.

Fast, Fresh, and Friendly staff! I ordered the Aguacate con queso taco, which has lightly fried avocado on it. Nothing was too salty or overpowering. Tacos are about 5$ a piece, which is standard for Austin. Will definitely be back :) Thank you!!

Papalote is a great little place for interior style Mexican food with a variety of street style tacos. The dining area was recently remodeled and expanded, with a fresh clean design and more tables. I had the Alambres grilled steak tacos on this visit, which were very tasty. They have a green and red sauce both good, however I preferred the green sauce. After three of the small street style tacos the lingering flavors left me wanting more, but there was no room left in the stomach! Two tacos will most likely be plenty to satiate your hunger. I should also mention they have decent breakfast tacos. I recommend giving this place a shot next time you are in the South Lamar area - a great quick stop for that late weekend brunch too.

friggingreat! lil pricy but everything is now a days. Good n friendly ppl here making good n tasty tacos ?

Place was clean and staff friendly but the food wasn't that good. Queso was mediocre at best and chips were so salty, definitely tasted store bought. The chicken seasoning was bland and overall, wasn't impressed.

Bigger isn't always better. I loved this place and have been eating here occasionally for years, but this is the first time I been in since they expanded. Not the same, and I cannot bring myself to give it even 3 stars. The food was ok, but not great. The feel is sterile instead of that hole-in-the-wall greatness it used to possess. And, they got my order wrong. Flour tortillas are not my jam, and that's what I got on one of my 2 tacos although I asked for corn. The tinga de res was my favorite taco on the menu here, but today it tastes like dirty dish water...what happened?! I couldn't take more than 2 bites and forced down the second. Not at all worth $4.20 per taco. The refried black beans were bland. Meh. It'll be a while before coming back to this location, if at all. Perhaps we need to try the one on Congress if it's still there. Was there a change in ownership? Ugh.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday. It wasn’t too busy so we were able to get our food pretty quick. The tacos were awesome. I had the Alambres and the Pescado a Las Brasas. If I’m on this side of Austin again, I will definitely stop here again.

Been coming here for years!! The expansion they made is super nice and clean. Alambres and Pastor for the win! The hot sauces are sooo good. 10/10 would recommend

I went to school near by several years ago and had these tacos for breakfast more times than I can count. They remodeled the location and it’s beautiful. They’re speedy in service and have some amazing salsas as well. I definitely recommend trying this place out (:
