We saw OMG Squee featured on Queer Eye, but thought it was closed. We just happened upon it when driving through East Austin to hike on the green way. The location is very much off the beaten path. But as we passed the pink building, there was a line outside. We stopped to explore and people were waiting for the bakery to open. There was a sense of excitement and community as people greeted us. We ordered the mochi donuts, the Ube milk drink, and the Ube / Matcha Tea twist soft serve ice cream. The food did not disappoint. I recommend the milk drink and the taiyaki fish cone was adorable. The have no indoor seating, but a small patio and yard with picnic tables are available. By the time we left, the line was much longer. So, it pays to get there early. This was a fun, unexpected experience for us that lived up the hype.
OMG Squee is such an amazing business. It was built up from the ashes of Covid. The owner has been through so much, and her food and menu items are amazing and delicious. The food is Japanese-American inspired, and is absolutely melt on your tongue amazing. I completely suggest this place for a fun and delicious dessert.
Super cute place to visit on a hot day - we came after getting lunch somewhere else and I got the taiyaki ice cream sundae. The strawberry + ube swirl was incredible -they just give so much ice cream and it's a really good deal. I liked the nutella filled taiyaki and it was really not too sweet so it was perfect for me.Overall fun place, short lines and lots of seating. I just didn't give a 5 star since my food melted super quickly and it was not a super fancy place or experience but super solid dessert.
Cute dessert place. You better get there early they run out quick. Delicious Sao custard with Nutella filling ?. They ran out of all the other flavors, we must go back. The drinks were delicious too my favorite was the black lychee fruit tea. Very refreshing. The macarons were good not my favorite but the cookies and cream was the best. The place is tiny be ready to stand in-line outside and inside. It’s worth it.
OMG Squee is an Austin must-try!The staff is awesome and they accommodate a lot like putting the ice cream in a cup for to-go orders or answering a bazillion questions with the upmost patience. During Halloween they put faces and it was ADORABLE!All the soft serve flavors are scrumptious and the donuts last a good amount of time on the countertop without going stale like traditional donuts.I love to see OMG Squee grow such a huge fan base and I hope they thrive
The line was worth the wait. I got creme brulee French macaroons and an iced matcha latte. Both were such a pleasure to taste. The matcha was perfectly sweet. It wasn't overly sweet. I'll definitely go back when I return to Austin!
Are you kidding me?!? This place lives up to the hype!! I got there later in the day and waited in line for a long time and there was only one donut left on the menu. I was afraid that since it was the last type of donut it wasn’t a crowd favorite, but I bought it anyways and was astounded by how delicious it was! If I was from Austin I would go often, but I’m from out of town so I’ll have to plan another trip back. The milk tea was standard, but the donut was incredible.
Super cute place! Got the soft serve with the fish waffle cone filled with Nutella. And OMG amazing ? make sure to grab napkins before you head out to the tables to sit! Triple crown is the drink, lemon donut was very good.
How has nobody reviewed this place after it was featured on Queer Eye?! This cute little shop has great donuts and it was fun to chat with the owner and staff. Yum!
Absolutely delightful Mochi donuts I have ever tried. This is a must try recommendation from me. There will be a long wait but trust me, it’s worth it. The mochi donut flavors change every week and are absolutely delicious. The soft serve is amazing too and if you are so inclined, try the sundae with the Taiyaki. Towards the end of the day, they run out of donuts so make sure you get there early. The Ube and the Earl Grey are my favorites. Also, the soft serve and sundaes are only available on the weekends last I checked. Parking is super limited so prepared to park and walk. Definitely give it a try and it’s run by some fantastic peeps.
