Stopped here on a whim on our way Austin. Ate a wonderful two plat meal with Brisket and.Turkey. Not sure which of the two was better. They were both so tasty. Thanks for a wonderful meal!!
Brisket and sausage are good. Not the best in the Austin area, most certainly better then places like Smoky Mos and Rudy’s. Potato salad is meh, like it can’t decide if it wants to be a vinegar base or a sweeter potato salad. Definitely missing some salt. Now for the whole reason I got on to write this review. The Green Flipping Beans! By far the best ones I have had in years maybe ever. I’ll be back to try some other stuff soon.
Tried this place with my boyfriend. The turkey was great. The brisket and pulled pork were not good. Both were very dry, frankly the pork was inedible. We basically paid $40 to eat turkey, French fries & fountain soda.
Food is amazing and the vibe is great. We ordered a meat sampler and side sampler so we could try a little bit of everything. No complains - would definitely recommend. Huge beer list and very reasonably priced!!
They offer a decent BBQ but nothing to brag about. For this place being promoted as "Beer Garden", I was expecting to find a bigger selection of beers. Patio area is nice, plus they often have live music on weekends.
$26 for 2lbs of crawfish is pretty expensive so was expecting something special. But they delivered a very small portion, only one small corn, a few tiny pieces of sausage, and two small potatoes (which is a cheap product, you can buy a whole bag of potatoes at the grocery store for $2) - so very lazy and tight. Very poor performance. Don't waste your time and money
A great outside dining area and an excellent selection of Texas beers, unfortunately the food is not so great. Both the chopped brisket and the sausage were dry and though the fries were hot, it’s easy to cook frozen fries. Two other things that bothered me were ordering and paying for drinks at a separate bar from the food counter and the use of a payment terminal in both places that requests a tip for just taking an order.
Kinda pricey for what you get. Crawfish was decent. The turkey and sausage were highlights. The cream corn was really good too. I would not go so far as to say kid-friendly, but it's shady and there is a lot of space outside.
The barbecue was excellent. The missing stars reflect more of what they didn't have. No fries, despite them being on the online menu. Don't know if they were out or what, but it was surprising. We also couldn't do a phone order for pickup. The prices were good and the food itself was great. Will give it another chance but hope they update their menu.
Absolutely wonderful!!! We got there right when they we’re running out of crawfish which they were featuring this weekend, and just missed out trying some because they had just sold out of them. So we ordered some barbecue, which was delicious, but after we were seated the owner brought over a huge tray of crawfish “on the house” and told us they ended up having some left! We we were so amazed at their hospitality!!! Live band was great, too! We can’t wait to go back ?
