consistently fresh and delicious sushi. that's why we keep coming back.
The food was AMAZING!!! Like...melt in your mouth salmon ?? Took a little to be served once seated but it was understandable since it was mad busy. My only complaint was the yellowtail tasted off but it didn't really matter cuz everything else was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and I loved the authentic Japanese feel
You almost have to know where it is to find it. That being said, it has a nice and well shaded patio. The interior has a traditional feel. The miso soup, fried tofu, rainbow roll, and salmon teriyaki were all excellent. Our server was prompt and professional. The price was reasonable all things considered. We will definitely go back.
Since living in Japan I have not had a truely Japanese dining experience. This was the first in the states. If you can, try to sit at the bar. Great culinary experience. Very skilled sushi chefs!
It was tasty, but not as amazing as some of the other reviewers would have you believe. I go around and do omakases and this one was by far the worst omakase I've done. It was a four course meal which was just an assortment of other dishes found on the menu: 6pc sashimi, the miso black cod filet, the sushi deluxe, and mochi ice cream. Save yourself at least $30 per person and order them separate.
I hate to give a negative review but the Yelp waiting list is a joke. This place is about 20 minutes from where we live and I joined the wait list as we were walking out the door. It said at the time that there was about a 30 minute wait. 10 minutes later I got a text saying our table was ready and they would hold it for 5 minutes. I called to let them to know we were on our way and the person who answered said we would remain at the top of the list even though we would arrive after the 5-minute table hold time. When we got there we were told our top spot on the waiting list was no longer relevant because "we had about 8 walk-ins in the last 15 minutes" so we could expect no less than a 35 minute wait. My advice is not to bother with the Yelp waitlist, just walk in and expect a wait. I'm sure the food is great but we opted to go to another nearby restaurant that had a real, actual reservation available 15 minutes later and were seated immediately.
This place has quickly gone down hill since losing all their sushi chefs in the last 5 months. Now they have novices in training cutting and serving sushi! No point even sitting at the sushi bar because u cant place an order with the "sushi chefs in training", have to order thru a waitress! HELLO! Wth? Then why sit at the bar? Oh I know, because the new chefs don't speak English and don't know squat about the menu. So yeah I can see why.More importantly, since losing all their chefs the quality of the sushi has gone down hill fast. Fish does not taste or look fresh, it's not made well and lacks the touch it used to have.
Best Sushi in town, been going for 20 years.

First time here. There was a bit of wait, so it's best to reserve a table or add to the wait list ahead of time. Great selection of appetizers. The black cod was grilled to perfection. The fatty bluefin tuna was just incredible. There's a great selection of nigiri (though it's odd that there's no crab option, real or otherwise) and rolls. Service was excellent. Sushi was presented beautiful. I'll post some pictures.
