I know there are a lot of other great pizza places in Austin but I keep going back to MOD for several reasons. They are great for people with dietary restrictions. My vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and nightshade allergy folks can all go here and find something yummy to eat. I, personally, can’t eat tomatoes so I love that they have several sauce options that aren’t tomato based. The garlic rub and the white sauce are my favorites.MOD also has a lot of topping options and don’t charge extra for more toppings. Their ricotta cheese is great on a veggie pizza. Everything is fresh. Their crust is nice and thin and crispy so I don’t feel like I’m eating a whole loaf of bread when I eat a couple slices of pizza.Their online ordering system is really good and easy to use. It just takes a minute or two to put in an order and then pick it up from the store. The employees are MOD are very kind and helpful. They do a great job making sure I get all my toppings and that the bake is just right on the pizza.Compared to other chains, this is the best pizza you can find.
This is a hot take, but I think MOD is one of the best pizza places in Austin. I like the thin crust, the very neutral toppings (sometimes I think places overcompensate with very herby sauces) and I think it's the perfect size. It doesn't feel as heavy as most fast pizza (which can also be great in the right circumstances).
So it is very hard for me to even give 1 star to this location. I was promised my order at 6:45 and I was there at 6:40 waiting on my pizza. I asked about it and they said it was being made now. At about 6:45, I heard what I thought was my name "Rick" and another guy stepped up and claimed the pizza. I went up and asked what name they called and he repeated back what I thought was Rick, after two times he indicated it was Brick with a B that he called. So I stepped back and continued to wait. A few minutes later the same guy came in and said that was not his order and he needed his order. I looked at what I he returned and he had already taken a bit of a piece of pizza before returning. At this point it was already 10 minutes late so I requested a refund. While going through the refund process and prior to giving me the refund, my name was called. I then assumed I was getting my pizza so I left. When I arrived, I opened my pizza only to find that they had packaged up the pizza the guy returned and handed it to me even though he had returned the pizza after eating some of it. It was the most discussing thing I have ever experienced at a dining establishment. I will never return to this location. I called and supposedly I will be getting a refund. I took the general managers name and I will be calling him tomorrow on 3/30. Good luck if you choose to go to this place. If they package up returned eaten pizza and hand it to customers, there is no telling what they will do to your pizza while cooking!
MOD is the best! Whatever pizza you have in mind they can whip up in minutes. Great value too considering the price. MOD RULES!
Food is good, staff is friendly, parking is easy. Here's my problem. If the restaurant closes at 10:00 that does not mean it's okay for the staff to shut down the dining room at 9:00. I'm no rocket scientist but 9:00 to 10:00 is an hour apart. Dining room should not be shut down.
3rd time coming to mod pizza since I live next to it and still fails my expectations. All 3 times my online order has either went missing or they can’t find the pizzas or they underestimate the pick up time by A LOT. Last time coming here.
Clearly impacted by staffing issues, but my order was ready and delicious when I got there to pick up. First visit to a Mod ever after a coworker indicated she loves it.
I visited this MOD for a quick and easy meal while staying with my son at Dell Childrens Hospital. Great hospitality and extra kindness went a long way. The MOD crew was awesome. Thank you to the staff for putting a smile on my face while I was feeling exhausted and defeated.
Love the build your own pizza and salads. So much to choose from and made fresh! Great prices too!
Great salads and pizza. A good salad is hard to find in Austin so that's a plus. I also really like the atmosphere and the companies hiring policy. From what I understand they pay fair and don't have any discriminating hiring policies.
