I was in Austin back in late 2019 visiting some friends and tried going to Uchiko without a reservation. Silly of us I know. We ended up going here instead and it did not disappoint! I will definitely make this place a priority the next time I’m in town. Husband and wife run the show. 5 stars all around!
If I lived closer, this would be my regular sushi spot. I have eaten a lot of sushi and I can't recall ever having such carefully crafted rolls as these. Very high quality ingredients, excellent service, and reasonable prices! ♥
Pretty cool, more low key sushi spot. Owned and ran by a husband and wife that were working their while we were there. They are very generous with portion sizes. Enjoyed it very much! I’m always searching for great sushi in Austin and Maru Japanese Restaurant came through. The rolls were good but the pricing was a bit steep. It was a quiet place and a great evening. Thanks Maru.
Wow this place is a hidden gem! Owned by husband and wife, they were very nice.Ordered Geisha roll for a quick late lunch and it was surprisingly delicious! All the fish on top were fresh and they cut thick. So you can enjoy and taste fish much more than the other restaurant. And they have variety of sake&wine selections which is great!

Best underground sushi in austin. The owners are the servers and chef and you just have the best experience when you go there. They have been in business for over 10 years and you can tell -the quality of the fish is incredible and they have really mastered the sashimis. Don’t sleep on the rolls as well.
I'm blown away by this place every time I come for sushi. The pieces of fish you get on the sashimi are out of this world in flavor and size. You'll probably have to wait a while to get your food if it's busy considering it's just the two of them running the show. I promise it's worth the wait though!
This is hands down the best sushi in Austin! Go here, you will be happy you did. I’ve been on a quest, for several years, to find our go to sushi place in Austin. We finally found it and I’m sooo happy.
great japanese sushi place that is run by husband and wife. The food was great I am not sure if it's the quality of the sushi or the way it is cut but is was all amazing. Will definitely come back.
