Great place to eat sushi! I wanted to treat myself and Maiko Sushi Lounge was nearby. Oh my, what a treat! Try the Rainbow Roll (I don't quite remember the name of the other roll I ordered Chochiri's fire?? It was good, too) and the nigiri, they don't disappoint! Service was top-notch, I didn't get my server's name, but she had short, red hair and was amazing!
We meant to check out this place last time we were staying in this area, but they were closed. I was kinda curious to check it out. They were busy, Friday evening. Prices are good and the wait wasn’t too long. We had a great server, but the food was just ok. I had the tuna poke bowl and my fiancée had a spicy tuna sushi roll. My poke bowl had some cubed tuna and sliced avocado and a little cucumber over a packed bed of rice and some sea weed salad over it. I would try something else if we happen to go back there.
Wandered in by accident looking for food. Great value and food was delicious. Had the chicken udon noodles, definte recommend. Decent prices too
As someone who's lived in Japan before, I like to think that I have an at least decent sense of when sushi is good or bad. Maiko? VERY good. You can really tell as soon as you put it in your mouth how high quality the fish that they use is. The atmosphere is very cool as well, and the price isn't overwhelmingly high. I'd definitely eat there again.
One of my favorite spots in Austin. The panko redfish, poke tower and shishito peppers are a must. Everything we got was a 10!!! So so good!
Mercedes Rocks! Very knowledgeable about the menu. Bartender Oscar made me the best Lychee Martini, Maiko Roll Is the way to go, will definitely be back soon!
Food gets 5 stars, but they get dinged 3 whole stars for presentation. I ordered Geisha Roll, Warehouse District, Ms Yoshi, Shaggy Dog, and 6 others for my family, all of whom had specific tastes. The menu doesn’t have pictures of them. They arrived UNLABELED. How the hell am I supposed to know who ordered what? The meal was chaotic, and a complete disappointment. Everybody was upset and I was blamed. Will not order from them again.
Great place to eat-- fresh, flavorful food and amazingly friendly staff. We got our orders quickly and also asked for some suggestions. I am glad we did, as The Shaggy Dog was awesome! Esteban was outstanding -- so go check it out.You won't be disappointed. The initial rating does not do this place justice.
