I head to 6th street in Austin just to meet Shyam and try food from his food truck.I’d recommend you strike a convo w/ him, he is one of the most humble and informative people you’ll meet. We ordered a couple of dishes - vegetable biryani and chicken curry. I will preface this, the food served in this food truck is Indian American to suit the palette of Americans. So it’s not going to be the traditional spicy Indian food. However, you will not be disappointed.Good luck thala, it was great meeting you.
My new favorite place for Indian food. I had the paneer tikka tacos and they were so good, I highly recommend. The portions were huge too, I could barely finish the 2nd taco. I was worried the paratha bread would fall apart since it was flaky but it held everything together. So happy I found this food truck; I will definitely be back to get more and try the other items on the menu.
So disappointed! Below average indian food! And their prices are on par with the restaurant prices.. everything was in togo boxes after a long wait , it was not even busy ! Ended up paying $60 plus 15% tip.. not even a single dish was good, guys please get trained and try to change recipes when you are charging a lot of money, atleast please be considerate
Great Naan and solid Lamb curry tacos.
Closed irregularly - would love to try it sometime
Amazingfood!! There Nan was handmade and so delicious!
It’s sad that most of the great indian restaurants are in north Austin. This place in an exception! The portions are generous, prices are the best you’ll get in the downtown area, and very authentic. ??
They have good paneer tacos along the lines of Kathi Rolls (although they are drier..).
The food was good. The ambience is fun too..
Overrated place. The food was horrible and tasted like tomato soup with peices of paneer. Owner needs to YouTube how to make paneer tikka
