We showed up, and ordered there to go. The food was quick, plentiful, and delicious. The Tom kha soup was a little spicy, but delicious. We also got Chicken Satay, and some wings. The wings were large and crisp, delicious sauces with crispy garlic. I would highly recommend food here, and I complement their service.
Decent restaurant! Had a take out and wouldn’t have checked the order generally but the smell wasn’t quite right. They ended up giving a burnt rice entree with charred particles quite visible and smelled burnt too.Had to drive all the way back and they were okay to replace it. Not looking much wait overall as such. Not too much parking available as multiple stores in vicinity and parking is limited.Prices are reasonable.
This was my second time having food from this restaurant, but my first time at this location. I ordered the Basil fried rice level three and it could have been spicer. Next time I’ll go up a level or two on my spice level. The basil fried rice was good. I also ordered a glass of wine, but it never made it to the table. The wings were supposed to be spicy, but they tasted more mild. Overall, my experience was good, but nothing spectacular. I will give this restaurant another try.
Thoroughly enjoyed this!I got the spicy basil fried rice - it was great and actually really spicy. Everyone working there was friendly and kind even though they were understaffed. Will definitely be eating here again
Had one of the worst experiences in this restaurant last night unfortunately! I’ve been going to Madam Mam’s for years and been to this particular location off of Bee Caves multiple times as well, however had one of my worst experience. We ordered 3 dishes (fried rice, stir fry, and a curry) and my wife asked for spice level 3; The food was extremely spicy for us and couldn’t eat the fried rice or the curry. We were very hungry, so tried to work through the stir fry since the white rice served with it helped cool down the spice a bit. We let the waiter know what happened and said that we were going to ask them to cook them with no spice again but since we lost our appetite, to just charge us for the stir fry and not charge us for the fried rice or the curry and she can take it back. The response was unbelievable and borderline comical; Here is a list of events that proceeded: I) She accused us of eating our dishes and not wanting to pay. Clearly not the case since we took a couple bites from each dish. I poured back the fried rice I had on my plate to the main dish to show her that. Full plates! II) She also said she won’t make it again saying we had asked for spice level 3. We let her know that we didn’t realize it will be so spicy, we thought it was medium. She said it is medium. The fact that we clearly struggled and wouldn’t eat the food was none of her concern and ended up paying full price for all 3 dishes although just had half of 1 dish. III) When I let her know to not worry because I will pay the full amount, but just not visit the restaurant again even though I’m a regular. She literally said “don’t come back” which is unbelievable to hear at a restaurant in this country! IV) Asked to speak to the manager; she told me she was the manager. Asked to speak to the owner, she refused. Asked for her name, she refused saying I don’t need to know that. Asked how long she’s been working as a manager; she said “longer than I my age” lol Worst experience at a restaurant ever and definitely not going back!
Fantastic Thai restaurant. Fresh and delicious. Spicy and colorful. Love it.
We love Madam Mam’s! But this one is the worst as The portions are super small compare to any other locations! Last time I bought 5 chicken wings and the taste was like as if they are old and cooked several times, as was super dry!Guys! Management! Please do something and check specifically this one location! They need to pick up even they are the only in so North Austin and have tons of clients! We were suggesting Madam Mam’s to all our friends, but from now on we don’t feel comfortable going to this specific place! Please do something! If they will get better - I’ll remove my negative review! Thanks!
Best Brussels Sprouts in the world. ??
01/26/2022I have frequently visited the Madam Mam's on Brodie Lane and it was always a great experience! Today, I visited the Anderson Lane location and I have to say, it was terrible and NOTHING like the Pad Thai I get at the other location! They didn't even serve it with peanuts. The noodles were mushy and it was in some sort of thick, creamy, weird sauce. Our waitress never bothered to ask for our drink order and never came around to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. Normally I get a to-go bag for leftovers but today, I left most of it behind! YUCKY!!
We live a half hour away and haven't been here since pre-covid and were happy they are still in business. We had a full table and everyone ordered something different. The only disappointment was shrimp pad Thai. Photos from other reviews do show a "tomato" appearing sauce...but, it was not what was expected and it was the only dish not eaten at the table. It was unlike any pad Thai ordered anywhere else in our experience. The other food was delicious and empty plates went back to the kitchen.
