We tried a variety of dishes including noodle soup, fried rice and the special Moo Todd pork with sticky rice. They are all very delicious. One of the best Thai food in Austin.
The staff is very friendly and kind.I wished the food was good. I found one dish to be too sweet and the other to be too salty. At the end, I had a tummy ache after dinner.
I ordered the Drunken Noodles and my fiancé ordered the Pad Thai. Neither were very good. The flavors were strange and noodles overcooked. We ended up tossing the leftovers, which we very rarely do. Service was prompt and polite.
I have been going here since it was called IM Thai. I loved it and was always my favorite Thai restaurant to go to. Today I placed the last order from here. The rice was so dry and looked like it was old. My chicken and the zucchini tasted dry and old. I threw up my lunch after.
Not very authentic Thai food. As is Austin tradition, we just can't get Thai food right, or even close. I spent 10 years in Thailand so I think I can speak to the quality and authenticity of the food.Fried rice was fine. Hard to mess up. Chicken was okay. A little dry. Followed special instructions. Good enough if you live close and want a quick fix, but not worth it to go out of your way. 3.75 out of 5.Pad Sea Ew used the wrong noodles which I can forgive them for because it might be hard to find in Austin, BUT it was very soggy. There was very little meat (pork) and what was there was thin and dry. Pad Sea Ew should be a rich, brown color from the soy sauce and should have a bit of that caramelized/thickened sauce coating everything including the meat. It should have a consistent noodley texture and not just turn to mush when it hits your tongue. This was just soggy noodles with no to little browning, bland flavor and American broccoli instead of bok choy which is easy enough to get so I can't give them a pass for that. It wasn't inedible, but it wasn't good. 1.5 out of 5.Honestly, this doesn't even pass for "hipster white people" Thai food that blands things down or adds too much sugar and takes away the spice/saltiness/sourness from real Thai food like you would find in hipster hubs like Silverlake in Los Angeles. It's just bad.I continue on my hunt for good, authentic Thai food in Austin.
We visited Luv Thai Cuisine on Thanksgiving Weekend. The food was delicious, the portions were flawless, and the waitress was super cordial. My wife and I went there twice during our holiday. The flavor was right on the spot and familiar to Morningside Thai Restaurant in Houston, TX. We will be going back there next time in Austin, TX.
Service was great. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. Beautiful atmosphere.
Ordered fried rice with chicken. The portion was much smaller than other places, but still good for a regular adult. The problem is that they put huge sections of TOMATO in it! What the HECK?!?Tomato belongs in lasagne, not in fried rice. Not a fan.
I love Thai food and I have to say this place did not disappoint at all. They have all the Thai food staples you would expect in any restaurant. However, their service can be a bit slow. Staff was welcoming. Worth checking it out if you are in the area.
Always a good experience and I can appreciate the generous amount of vegetables compared to other Thai places that pack the dish with meat and a little bit of like, one vegetable.(Madam Mams and Saps have amazing flavors but the lack of veggies always left me preferring Luv Thai)
