It has some cool instagramable design, but the food is not it.Drinks- I can’t tell if I ordered a cocktail or non-alcoholic drink. Where is my liquor?Food- it’s fine. Everything is just fine. We spent 100$ each person for everything. I’m paying inflationary price for average food. Especially that toro+fig sashimi. I felt like everything I ate was pork belly. The rest of nigiri and rolls we ordered are so average yet priced way above average. I’d rather go to Soto, even tho I’m not a fan there, but it’s so much better than lucky robot. Not coming back Oof.
Instant 5 star review. It means a lot to have an industry night off and have such a stellar experience. The bartender, Drew, was our server. He was accommodating and extremely informed on the entire menu. Iâm vegan and my partner is pescatarian. What a perfect place for us to dine together. We will be back many times and look forward to bringing friends. Yâall are a whole experience. (And thank you for the delicious banana dessert). See ya soon! - Frankie & Mike
Pricy, but the service was great!
My date and I were really impressed with the Omakase, it puts this spot at the next level IMO.
I came here for my birthday and it was a great choice. The staff was fun and personable and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere is cool and unique. The food is incredible and I spend the entire meal with a huge smile on my face because of it. 10/10 would recommend
This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it! We could actually hear each other which is rare in popular Austin restaurants. All of the food was fantastic. Only complaint is that the swing seats really need pads - too low and uncomfortable.
Excellent in every way. Fresh, innovative dishes, traditional favorites, my favorite sake, delicious cocktails, and PERFECT service. Itâs an Austin institution for a reason. Thank you, Lucky Robot, for your commitment to an entire experience. Youâre the best!
Food was great and it was cool to be able to sit in front of the chefs and watch them at work. Layout of restaurant is neat. Definitely not cheap (as is normal with sushi spots), so be prepared to shell out money, but a great date spot.
The atmosphere and vibe were in line with similar restaurant concepts where edge art and Japanese culture meet. Excellent presentation that matches the restaurant theme. The quality of the food is good, but not worth the price. Service was pretentious and lacked the common courtesy one would expect from the price point.Open indoor and outdoor seats were held for reservations, requiring a wait to get a table, but it was clear the reservation system or process by which they manage their table utilization seriously reduces their possible table turnover and just gives Austin culture a bad rap, especially when the reserved tables were unfilled.I would avoid unless you are getting casual drinks and a few happy hour appetizers before going to another place for dinner.
Best service I have ever received at a restaurant. Our waiter is also in charge of creating the drink menu and he went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. We will be talking about our visit for a long time.
