Not even close to Cajun:Gumbo tasted of Crystals Louisiana hot sauce and black pepper in a very light roux broth (if its not just coloring to make it look like it has a small amount of roux).Bottom of the Bayou flavor mix (Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic butter) - spice level FIRE was maybe a 2 out of 10 in actual heat, not one bit of Cayenne pepper was added, and little to no salt. No traditional cajun herbs and spices to be found here.If you're looking for over-priced, bland, steamed seafood covered in garlic and butter, then this is your place! If you're looking for Louisiana Cajun cooking? Hard Pass!EDIT: Gave 2nd star, because the wait staff was very good and attentive, A+!

We had a lovely lunch experience here. Our service was kind , attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and memorable. It really stood out. Can’t wait to come back.

Omg it was sooooooooo good. Amanda was my server and she was super knowledgeable of the menu and guided me through it. She was also very attentive and always made sure I was taken care of. I am definitely coming back since my husband loves crawfish we need to take advantage of the season! Come here if you wanna treat yourself.... also the strawberry margarita with the watermelon white claw was delicious!!! Loved my experience here ❤️

I say 2 only because the cooks are great, but the service is lackluster, understaffed and under paid. I sat there covered in sweat for 30 mins and no water after asking 4 times they say ok and serve the rest of the people who came in after us water now it’s been 45 mins and the guy hasn’t even given the cook our order. I left after ordering a large meal for my family as nobody was getting served at all and the table was filthy I had to re wipe it to sit down. The place was a treat when it opened, now it’s overpriced with no service. I used to recommend this place but may not ever come again unless it gets an overhaul. Pay your workers enough and they may stay or you can actually get decent staff. 45 dollars for a plate and you can’t pay them 15 an hr? Rework the business model….

The crab legs were great and pulling pretty easy, some had a few trouble but the claw crackers helped just fine. They even give you gloves to help keep your hands clean. Get the bayou flavor (all spices mixed together) in medium, it’s great.

Delicious the best crawfish ?

The Food is great. The service is awesome . All around . Good time

First time here. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I was kind of skeptical at first because the place was kind of empty but customers started coming in as we were getting served. Food was simply delicious and tasty exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this place

There is something to be said for this mom & pop owned restaurant that does it right! From being greeted when I walked in, to following social distancing & mask guidelines, to the very pleasant decor, to the amazing food and amazing service! Try it, you will not be disappointed!

Austin’s BEST kept seafood secret! 2 friends highly recommended this place for crab legs, so we went there for dinner last night.Everything we had was what we had been looking for in Cajun cuisine. We tried & liked the gumbo, oysters, crab legs, fried shrimp po-boy, and Cajun fries. We both agreed we have to come back and try the things we didn’t get this time! Also, the server was super cool and on the ball. We live in south Austin, but this is a drive worth making for us! We give it ?????
