The food is okay but the front guy who takes orders just talks too much. He will interrupt you to crack jokes and make comments and it's quite annoying. Lacks the emotional intelligence to know he's being inappropriate. Cannot look at the menu in peace for few seconds before he will chime in. Ridiculous. The food is decent enough 3.5/5. A little pricey though and prices on Google do not match menu. Wait time 5/5.
We had lunch here on a recent weekday. The lunch specials were all in the $12 range, but that did include soup (the wonton was fabulous) , egg roll (nice and crunchy) and fried rice. My sweet & sour shrimp were good, and my companion's lo mean looked fantastic. Service was friendly and being located in a strip mall means plenty of parking. All in all, a little pricey, but the quality of the food are worth the extra expense.
Have been going to Lotus Hunan for 16 years great food. Now they might not survive the covid aftermath and bigotry they are facing because it's an Asian restaurant.If you enjoy or haven't tried it go now. Let's keep them open
One of the worst places I’ve eaten at. I ordered takeout the crab Rangoon’s had hardly anything in them. I ordered the chefs orange beef and it had more fried batter than meat, the orange pieces were rock hard and it never came with vegetables so I added green beans and got 4 green beans in the total dish. My boyfriend got General Tso chicken extra spicy and there was absolutely no flavoring to the dish and the chicken was extremely chewy. This place was beyond disappointing I will never be back.
Crab Rangoon was empty-not even cream cheese filled just fried bread. Chicken was all very small chunks. First time here and will not go back. $45 for two plates of small chicken and tasteless batter.
I decided to try this place because of the good reviews. WOW! who is writing these reviews?? Everything was dripping in oil, and also, very little taste. Live and learn, I'll never get food here again.

Alas a really good Chinese restaurant!! Perfectly seasoned and cooked veggies. Kung pao shrimp was perfect. Hot and sour soup is spot on! Service is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!
I have been frequenting this restaurant over the last year and it is one of my very favorites in the area. I am big fan of picking up take out from their lunch menu, the portions are very generous and the food is incredible at a good price. I have tried several different items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff is always quick attentive and friendly.
I just really love this place. The food is really great (the best Chinese food I've found in this part of Austin by far), always fresh, and the staff is so welcoming. They're also insanely fast! How do they do it??I highly recommend the walnut shrimp.
