Lin’s is one of our favorite Asian restaurants in Austin! The food is so authentic and delicious. We got multiple orders of soup dumplings, pot stickers and sesame chicken. It was all incredible. Make sure to get a reservation because it gets busy.
The soup dumplings are extraordinary. The pineapple puff pastry is wonderful, it tastes like your grandmother handmade a pie crust. The Chinese sausage rice is fantastic with a little chili sauce. The salt and pepper shrimp is to die for. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wishes to enjoy some authentic Chinese food.
We literally were walking by and decided to have lunch. We were accommodated right away on the air conditioned outdoor patio which was amazing. The dim sum (I'm talking to YOU soup dumplings and Chicken with Cashews) were outstanding!!! Melt in your mouth. The sauces they came with were great too. Very light, fresh and hand made. I would go back just to order the other dim sum I missed. We also got a side veggie of box chow which was great and Dan noodles which were good but a bit oversauced. Very cool private room inside and very cool bathrooms. Overall, this place is awesome - servers are very knowledgeable and the menu is authentic and fresh dim sum and small plates. Don't miss it!
First, I'm from SF, so I'm used to good Dim Sum and this was fantastic. And our serving was fabulous. I have a food allergy and she knew exactly what I could and couldn't have, and she also gave her opinion on how to eat their wonderful soup dumplings without scalding yourself! The interior and the patio were beautiful.
Our family stopped here for dim sum @ 11:00 on a Saturday morning. All indoor seats were taken or reserved but we were able to sit outside. Dim sum is ordered off of a menu, not from carts. They have a good assortment of dishes including several I had never had. Food quality was very good and the dishes arrived hot. Service was very good and prices were reasonable for the quality. They also have a full bar. We enjoyed it a lot. It was one of the better dim sum places I’ve been to. Recommended.
When it comes to Dim Sum, you can either mess it up completely or knock it out of the park. This location has amazing food, very good in flavors and great proportions. The dumplings were amazing, rich in flavor and soft; very enjoyable. The Hawaiian chicken was delicious with the peanut sauce, and accompanied with the Dan Dan noodles was a great combo. The only reason for a 4 star review is because of the beef potstickers; they lacked some flavor and so wasn’t a big fan of them.Either way, very pleased with our dinner!
Love the food here and services is awesome. However I gave 4 stars because we had trouble with their system for appointment. I called 1 week ahead for our reservation, we want to make sure for our trip from Houston to Austin and have table there for lunch time. I asked the guy who spoke with us on the phone about " do you need my name for reservation but he said No we dont need it because it shows on our phone system whatever. When we came there, they said we don't have your name on our reservation list. We were so mad and disappointed about it. Finally they gave us a table after having a long conversation with them.
Incredible food and service. Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great time. Really enjoyed the shrimp with mushroom baos and seasonal fruit salad. The passionfruit bear was also delish!
By far one of the best dim sum I’ve eaten in a long time and I’ve eaten my share of dim sum in Cali. ? ? The shrimp and pork soup dumplings tasted fresh, tender and flavorful. There was plenty of delicious filling inside. The fried shumai topped with a tangy sauce hit the spot. We made lunch rsvp and we were seated and served right away. It is more pricey than a traditional dim sum house but well worth it. Can’t wait to come back to Austin to eat here again!
My wife and I were just astounded. Our server Sky, brought a personal touch to everything, selecting a lineup of dim sum and the perfect pairing of Whispering Angel Rose’. We’ve never had anything that was so delicate, complex, surprising and fun. Can’t wait to come back with friends.
