Here’s the deal, we love Quack’s. They’re always delicious, they’ve been around forever, and I thought for sure they could pull off the cancer anniversary cake of my dreams. I reached out to them a month in advance and my husband and I requested specific images, which instead turned into them printing the original painting on edible paper and charging $60. We were really hoping they’d run wild with it but instead we got a cute but disappointing cake we could have gotten for half the price at HEB. They also haven’t been super helpful in resolving the issue- I know it’s just a cake but I’m also super bummed because what it represents means a lot to me. We submitted 5 or 6 pictures of the images we wanted, which is not at all what we got. I guess the moral here is if you want a fun and crazy cake, this is not the place to go. We took the cake because we were going out of town and I wanted to have *something*, even if it wasn’t what we asked for.
Delicious pastries and cakes as well as espresso drinks right across from Mueller's lake park. It's also fun to watch the pastry chefs work.
The Vanilla Bean cake!!Was probably about the worst cake I ever tasted. I should've just bought a vanilla cake at HEB. Would of saved 15 bucks and kids would have eaten it. Instead this cake went straight in the garbage.Only reason this even gets 2 stars cause the peanut butter chocolate slice we bought was actually alright.
I bought a large carrot cake last Saturday to take to a family gathering. It was delicious, and without a doubt, the best carrot cake I have ever had.It was a huge hit and was large enough that 11 people were able to have more than one slice. Outstanding!
The Chai Latte here is absolutely amazing! They have their own recipe and don’t just use syrup to make it. The pastries here are also incredible - especially the Czech cookie. I would totally recommend this place!
We booked lady quack’s for our wedding cake and are so glad we did!! The whole experience was so easy, from the tasting to the booking to the day of. Kirsten was so helpful and friendly and the cake was DELICIOUS! She decorated it with flowers we provided and it looked prettier than we could have imagined. The delivery was on time and the cake was perfect!
I love this place and the beautiful staff there. The pastries are bake fresh and are delicious! I’ve went to the other Quacks bakery on 43rd st, but this place is beautiful. There’s even a park with a lake across the street from the store. You guys rock and keep smiling cause you made my day! Love you guys. ? ?
I have been starving for good dessert in Austin for 10 years. The search is finally over because these are the tastiest and fluffiest cakes I've had since moving. Everything was delicious from the pies to the cupcakes, pastries and more. No more dry or flavorless desserts for me ?
Love this bakery! Friendly staff with great desserts & coffee. They also offer lemonade, sandwiches, and breakfast tacos.
I don’t like giving bad reviews so I’ll give at least 3 stars. My pumpkin pie didn’t taste like pumpkin much though. Pretty blah. There was a dark brown film on top of it so I should’ve skipped the purchase after noticing. I like to support local but Whole Foods’ pie was better. My wife always wants to get pies from here but I’m gonna take a break. I had to listen to the staff joke around a couple minutes before I could pick up my order as well…..Update-I had the coconut cream that we originally ordered and it was great. Pumpkin just needs a bit of work.
