Amazing food and very authentic.
First time at La Condesa. I wanted to stick with light dishes and the waiter was knowledgeable what was on the menu and explained in details exactly what I wanted. Everything was amazing! I will be back again for some more of their delicious ceviche.
Food, drinks and service EXCELLENT! It was our first time at La Condesa, the restaurant is bright, the crew friendly. We asked if they had any specials for the day, we end up ordering that and one other item from the regular menu, all our food was delicious, the layers of flavors exquisite! and the drinks work really well with our food selection. If you like mezcal instead of tequila in your margarita or paloma, they have a long list of mezcal brands. I ordered the only vegetarian/vegan item in the menu, hopefully they add more options, if not, I'm ok ordering the same next time, it was delicious.
La Condesa is the best interior Mexican Restaurant in Austin. Bar none⦠You canât go wrong with any item on the menu. My personal favorite starters are the Sikil Pak (pumpkin seed hummus) and Queso Flamedado. The Barbacoa is the best Iâve ever had, pair that with Esquites and the Guacamole and you will not be disappointed. Hit them up for brunch as well. The CHILAQUILES are stunningly delicious. Get a bottle of Champagne and mix it with watermelon Agua Fresca for the perfect brunch drink. In spring or fall sit on the patio and soak in Austin and the best Mexican food in town.
Chef Rick Lopez continues to push this Austin classic to the highest levels of excellence it has ever been. Expect fresh made masa, authentic Mexican flavors, and seasonal produce combined to make cuisine that would challenge any contender for the best modern Mexican north or south of the border.
Not the best service. Food is phenomenal
Food was delicious. Our server was super quiet though so we could barely hear her.
It was okay. Customer service was awesome. Will go back again to try other things on the menu.
We had a dinner and drinks here last night to celebrate a friend’s engagement. They were super accommodating from the beginning and let us move our reservation back. Javier was our waiter and was phenomenal. Not only was he super kind and attentive, we asked him to pick the courses for us and he thoughtfully considered our dietary preferences and balanced the flavors of the dishes. He coordinated the right amount of food for our group. The food was out of this world. The churros melt in your mouth. The margaritas were delicious. The vibe was on point. We had the best time and Javier was a big part of that.
We are visiting Austin and we saw this restaurant and it looked great! The place is beautiful and the service is very friendly, the food is delicious but very pricey $$$$ and you will get charge for extra tortillas if you order more to finish up the delicious queso asado. They donât serve guac and chips or salsa as am appetizer and the server will tell explain why and itâs a good explanation! The chef was very kind to prepare for my 3 kids chicken quesadillas (pricey for a kids meal ($16 each and not served with any sides) since they donât have a kids menu, so definitely not a kid friendly place if your kids are picky eaters. The guac was delicious but it has to be ordered with the food not as an appetizer. The plates are very small so not shareable. And also donât check the menu on open table since they have a different menu at the restaurant. I told them about but it seem itâs has not been updated. Go directly to the web page so you donât be surprised by the menu and the prices ;) I would definitely come back, maybe as a date night, friends get together and no kiddos!
