This was the first place we stopped after an early morning flight in. I was not disappointed. Our food was delicious. I had the chiliquilas. I would definitely recommend it if you have the hankering for tex-mex. The service wad great. Our waiter was kind and attentive. I most definitely get breakfast here the next time I come to Austin.
Overall: food was mediocre, but the breakfast menu and pancake selection had enough items that you could probably find something you could live with. The place was clean and the atmosphere was fine. The service however left a lot to be desired. The waiter did not understand the menu and had a hard time processing the order. We went during off peak hours but it still took almost 30 minutes to have the food delivered and the refills on water were non-existent unless you beckoned a waiter for it. This was not the first occurrence at this location for a seemingly under trained staff.Would only recommend if the staff quality improved.
Nice “French toast”. It’s not French toast. It’s more like cakes but taste good. Nice pancake. Huge! Biggest pancake I have ever seen. Bad Coffee :( but everything else is good. Good service too.
The dining atmosphere is relaxed, yet nice enough to go out with family, friends, or your significant other. I ordered the Turkey & Avocado Club sand which. My only complaint is that they didn’t have any turkey? but they substituted it with chicken and it was still fantastic. Kerby is a great place to go for any meal. I really love that they serve breakfast all day and have a variety of options on their menu (including dietary restrictions or preferences)!
Call ahead or join waitlist online. Great location, small farmers market across the way to browse and shop: the breakfast entries were excellent. Locals and server recommended pulled pork eggs Benedict and the swirl pancakes . Def won’t want to skip those.
My partner and I arrived at Kerbey Lane Cafe on a Monday afternoon when patron traffic was sparse, yet we sat for nearly half an hour before deciding to leave when no server, host, buss person, etc checked on us after we were seated at our table outside. So I can’t speak to the food since we were not served, but I can speak to the lack of service that lost our business. First impressions are everything, and this one failed. We took our business down the street to Colleen’s Kitchen where we were provided great service and ordered within minutes of being seated.
Outstanding food.... Server was an Austin staple (stoner with a heart of gold). Great experience, highly recommended!
The service was a little slow. But, the food was good. There was a little confusion with the large party. They only gave us one server for about 30 people. I'd go back but with a smaller group.
First time at this location and wasn’t all that pleased with the service. Got a text saying our table was ready and when we get to the hostess she tells us our table was still being wiped. Okay whatever we sit down and wait.. we watch people who got there after us be seated and finally as they notice the look of dissatisfaction on my face they seat us. Now the reason behind all this.. truly I don’t know. Maybe it was a sincere mishap but come on now. The food was good nonetheless and our waitress was friendly. I’ll be sticking to the Guadalupe St. location for the future.
Great place for morning breakfast after a long da night at work. Good food and good service is the reason why I return. A breakfast burrito and a beer is a great way to end the day.
