Better than I expected. The bowl is too big and thus filling. It's not just a lot of rice; it's a lot of meat and vegetables too. The egg did its job as an adhesive between the different parts. The beef and sauce were too sweet, so that would be my main reason for no fifth star. But for a fast food joint, this is easily a place I'd go back to. It's probably my favorite place in the Drag.
Great flavor and freshness. Great staff and service. The main problem is my beef bibimbap did not have beef…tried to call and see if I can get a side order but phone didn’t work. Bummer
K-Bop is a true gem in this city. The owner is wonderful, the food is always delicious, and seeing the building inside and out always makes me smile. I can't have the spicier things on the menu (Midwestern palate here) but I would have no doubt they are delicious as well. However, I can have their stellar kimchi! I just eat it a little slower and with more coconut milk.I love their rotating lunchbox specials. I always look forward to seeing what new flavors I get to try. But, the beef bibimbap is one of my favorites. I just ordered it as one of my final meals before I move out of Austin this week. I will miss this place!! ? I'll definitely make an effort to stop by when I come back. Thank you for introducing me to the beauty and joy of Korean food!
Flew over the area. View was very good. 10/10 would recommend.Jokes aside, I've been coming here for years and the food is very good and reasonably priced. You can get a meal for under $10 here which is pretty rare for Austin nowadays.I get their bulgogi kimbap all the time and also tried the pork katsu kimbap which is also very very good (in fact, I'd say it's more than very good, it's straight fire). I haven't tried much of their other food yet but I'm sure it must be very good too.Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the food because every time I come here, I'm too hungry to think about taking a picture lol.
One of my favorite places to get some quick delivery dinner for Korean! I really enjoy their bibimbap bowls and the kimchi stew. It’s my quirky pleasure since I live so far froH-Mart and can’t make my own.
I went to this restaurant with my friends and tried spicy chicken, that was awesome! They were liked the food so much!
I love this place but my last two meals were not as good as usual. The soups were so bland and watery as to be almost inedible. This is after months of frequent ordering and it was my most frequented food place in Austin. I LOVE the kimbap and the rice bowls have been good, but the soups have become extremely bland. I order the soon doo boo jjigae regularly but couldn’t finish it the last time. It’s typically a spicy, flavorful, seafood soup but there was NO flavor at all last time (although still have the lovely red color). I had ordered take out or I would have asked about it or asked for a different item.I love this place and share this mixed review as a hope that the kitchen will improve again, because after my last two visits I will likely wait a while before returning.
Great food, lovely staff. Highly recommend this place. We got the beef bulgogi bowl, the chicken katsu lunch box and the honey milk tea.
Never gonna go there again. A tall staff guy was so rude. I tried to order but then the payment was not successful but still charged me. I repaid and it’s still unsuccessful but charged me. I reached a staff but his attitude was horrible and even blamed me for that. I’ve never met an issue with payment using my card before. They definitely had some technical difficulties but the staff refused to solve them. I don’t know what his problem was but the way he treated me was so disrespectful. I’ve already contacted my bank and they said my card had no problem at all. Now I just hope my money will return to me. Terrible customer service although the food was quite good.Update: I saw your reply but the main reason I was mad was not because of the tech problem but because of the horrible attitude that the boss was treating me. I understand you guys were quite busy at that time but that’s not an excuse for shouting at me and saying that we couldn’t help. I don’t think I’m misleading and I’m just trying to describe my situation. Thank god I got that deposit.
