Not sure if this is an authentic Korean bbq place or some fusion. The ambience and staffs of the place was great. However I didn’t like the tastes of the food that much- maybe we should have chosen something else than what we chose. I had beef ribeye bulgogi- it just seemed boiled and moist with no additional flavor. We also had spicy pork bulgogi and rice cake. The spicy pork and the rice cake some spicy flavors but also had some sweetness blended. These tasted more or less okay but nothing impressive. I also feel the food is over priced for the quality. But honestly I can’t compare it with anywhere else since I never tasted an authentic Korean bbq before. If I do I’ll add definitely update the review.

I was looking for some Korean and decided to come here for the first time. I was a little surprised on the higher than normal prices and the fact the food doesn't come with banchan (Korean side dishes). Also the ordering process is unique where you come inside and order immediately and then you go to your assigned seat until the food is brought to you. The soup was AMAZING! and the beef kalbi was very good but it definitely looked very westernized. Overall I would come back again for their Korean beef tofu stew! I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5 star

This is the BEST Korean restaurant in Austin for sure: great service, clean restaurant and BEST food. My roommate and I had beef Galbi Jjim, spicy pork bulgogi and spicy rice cake. The qualities of food were amazing. I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience Authentic Korean food. And the location is amazing. There is a a movie theater, bars and desserts places. We were able to do everything with walking.

That chicken jjim is amazing. Extra spicy made me cry but want more of that fantastic Korean taste. The braised chicken was tender and paired well with both the noodles and the vegetables. The carrots were so soft and the mushrooms so tender. The daikon kimchi was in large biteable chunks. I enjoyed this meal so so much. The small would feed two normal people or one very hungry very fat me.

This is a solid 3 stars restaurant. The price you pay for the location and the trendy vibe is only slightly surpassed by the quality of the food.Cons: When I order Korean pork bulgogi, the best part is the side dishes (banchan) which can include lettuce wraps, kimchi, marinated cucumbers etc.At Jjim, some of the sides appear to be mixed into the pork bulgogi and ZERO are provided. For a heft price of $24, I expected side dishes. There were also no chopsticks with the meal which is another indication that this fusion place misses the mark. The cafeteria style counter also takes away from the high end vibe that the price of the food would lead you to expect. You don't actually get a server here.Pros: a good place to slowly introduce a newcomer to Korean food. The staff was friendly and did circle around the tables often enough. You still had to walk up to the counter to buy drinks and get to go boxes though.

Drove all the way from Dallas to try this place, and it was worth the drive!!We tried the spicy rice cake, seafood pancake, shrimp dumplings, pork bulgogi, and the main dish galbi jjim. They were ALL equally delicious. But the spicy rice cake and galbi Jjim (must add cheese and glass noodles!!!!) were the best! Will definitely be back! Servers are attentive and very nice as well.

Man o man I don't even know where to begin... This place is amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone. You order at the front and are assigned a table to be seated. The hostess was very polite and was happy to answer all of our questions, and gave us really good suggestions (the sake we got was off the chain!).The service there was impeccable. We never felt ignored, and they definitely aimed to impress. Our server was really cool and never let us run out of water, and when more guests arrived we didn't even need to ask for plates and silverware- he had it out within seconds of them joining. For the food- all I have to say is try everything. Ordered 3 entrees and 4 appetizers, all of which were fabulous. The seafood pancakes were out of this world, as were the eggs, and shrimp. Would highly recommend ordering to share plates instead of just getting something for yourself. There are so many flavors and the food is so good, it would be a shame to not have a little bit of everything. The spicy beef and noodles hands down stole the show. It was so soft and delicious, you didn't need teeth to eat it. Was easily one of the best dishes I've had in Austin, and I've lived here for 11 years.Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Would make an excellent date spot for dinner and a movie considering you can walk to the Alamo.

This place is FREAKING delicious.I live in LA where the Korean food is bonkers. I am just visiting Austin so wasn’t sure what to expect but man …the food was savory, familiar, interesting sweet, fragrant, umami, hot, fresh, satisfying, and worthwhile. We got the beef jjim, beef ssam, and seafood spicy soup. 10/10 all around for different reasons. The Jim was tender and the sauce was to die for. The ssam had a great marinade and reminded me of kbbq (but without having to deal with your clothes smelling like meat.) The seafood soup was perfectly balanced and hit the spot with the heaping portion of steaming hot rice.Jade at the front took care of us throughout our whole meal. She was super friendly, sweet, and knowledgeable about the cuisine and the menu.At the end of the meal I didn’t realize it but we stayed beyond their lunch closing time and they generously let us continue eating in peace. Will be back next time for sure!! Thanks Jade and Jjim!!

Fabulous lunch!! Everything is delicious

Food was delicious, great people serving. It's pricey but so worth it!!
