Great service from friendly staff. Delicious food. I had the beef burrito with Spanish rice and refried beans. Good drinks, frozen strawberry margarita. Salsa is muy caliente.

First time trying and wasn't very impressed. The service was fine, however I was pretty shocked to see certain sections of their menu stating "rice and beans served upon request" which I feel is a bit ridiculous.I got the beef fajitas. The rice was bland, but everything else tasted okay. However, what striked me as odd was that despite ordering beef fajitas, I wasn't given any cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, etc like most other tex mex restaraunts give when ordering fajitas. Not sure if it was a mistake or if they really don't give that out with fajita orders, but considering they ask that you request rice and beans I wouldn't be surprised if you have to explicitly state that you want what other restaraunts usually giveyou without asking.Overall not horrible, but certainly not a place I'm eager to go back to.

Went last week and got the tortilla soup and it was literally just chicken broth, no seasoning. Nbd i guess id rather it be bland than salty. We decided to give it another try today and ordered some breakfast to go. The scrambled eggs in my taco were runny and gooey and this was the French toast plate we received. Not to mention we ordered 2 tacos, one appetizer and one kids meal and was charged a 6$ large order fee. The only thing decent was my bean and cheese taco which is impossible to screw up.

Based on other TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to try Javi’s as it was with walking distance to our hotel. The staff was super friendly, and the food was really good. I had the spinach enchiladas & enjoyed every bite. They also had really good chips & salsa. I would definitely eat hear again.

We ate here for dinner twice because it was close to our hotel and great reasonably priced food. Highly recommend it if you don’t want to drive out of the immediate area. First time was on a Thursday; they were busy but not packed full. It took a bit too long to get our dinners but luckily we were not in a hurry and the food was great. I got the chicken fajita tacos and they were delicious; highly recommend them! My partner got the enchiladas blancas and he enjoyed them. Second was on a Tuesday and the place only had a couple of other tables occupied so we got our food much quicker this time. I got the ground beef chimichanga and it was excellent. My partner got the tex mex enchilada and it was great too. Our dinners with 2 sodas came to about $32 (w/o tip); a great value!

I really wasn't planning on leaving a review when I stopped in for lunch.I was in town working and wanted to go somewhere other than fast food, so I found this place close to where I was.On stepping in I pleased to see modern decor was a very clean dining room. It took the hostess longer to seat me than I thought it should but THAT was the worst of the customer service. The typical chips and salsa arrived at the table very promptly. The chips were nice and hot and the salsa was fresh. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with a Carne Guisada taco, which also didn't take long to come out of the kitchen.Overall, the main plate wasn't SPECTACULAR, it was typical sysco or ben e keith restaurant supply beans, cheese and enchilada sauce. The taco was the best part and I would definitely return for the carne guisada. But the customer service and wait staff are top notch! They were all very friendly, quick to check on customers, make sure everything was OK and didn't feel rushed to pay and get out. Will definitely go again and try other dishes.

Best text-mex I had in Austin!! We ordered carnitas ini tacos and al pastor tacos, both amazing! Also, their charro beans were very flavorful and tasty! If I'm ever in Austin again, I will definitely go back!!

I tried this place based on previous reviews and the fact I was staying at the Hampton Inn which is right behind the restaurant. I was assuredly not disappointed! t was a big race weekend at COTA and Javi's was slammed but every employee I saw kept a smile and service didn't miss a beat despite the influx of people. The food? My partner and I shared the shrimp fajitas for two. Amazing! Enormous shrimp cooked in a sauce I wish I could duplicate. Oh, and the free chips and salsa? Amazing as well. I'll for sure hit Javi's up again if I find myself back in the area.

5 stars all around! We ordered the nachos, and steak tacos, Igor one chicken, 2 steak! My husband ordered the ground beef. When we come to Austin again, we will certainly be back!

Authentic, home made Tex Mex. Locally owned. Don’t rely on google maps to get you there. It’s between s Starbucks and Subway. We parked in a hotel parking lot and walked down. Worth your trouble. Soup was especially good
