I've been here both before and after the COVID shutdown. Prior I found solid customer service and consistent good food. Now that the shutdown is over, unfortunately restaurants are facing massive staffing shortages. This restaurant is no different. On my most current visit, there was only one server and the manager to handle tables. I will start by saying, we were warned about this, and I assume everyone was. And whenever you learn this, please be patient and gracious to the employees who are there. Thankfully, it seemed folks were. Our server quickly got drink orders, and tried to get meal orders quickly to ensure they'd be in line for the kitchen. The manager delivered our food and was friendly. We had no service during the meal (the "how's it going? Need anything?), but we didn't need it. I feel confident we could have flagged one of them down to help us. We really had a good experience; one you want to have while dining out. I commend those two employees for managing things so smoothly.
I wouldn't give this IHOP a one star but the google review wouldn't allow me to not leave a rating. This restaurant needs to have better caring management. The little staff that is at this location are demoralized by the lack of proper management that cares about the quality of the food, hospitality and cares about staff! The directions and over-priced food does and cleanliness of the lack-luster presence of pride doesn't qualify. I was had to get my own water, the bread for sandwiches was burnt, then the manager tells a staff member that his boss ( regional? or corporate) told him not to buy any more butter!!!! AND they are promoting 'protein pancakes'????!!! I loved IHOP before 'the madness' hit. It is sad sad that the quality of the IHOPS in the Austin are are less than the "Waffle Houses." I will mourn pancakes from IHOP, never never ever again......
I went in for breakfast. Food was just fine. The person serving was courteous. I have had breakfast at other IHOPs at other places and those were much better than this. The interior was poorly maintained. Floor n tables were dirty. An employee walked in after throwing up outside. This ticked me off. I could not see if he washed his hands or not. But if sick should stay home. I left in disgust.
As IHOPs go this is going to be one of the good ones. Staff is super nice in my experience and most importantly the food is consistent every time and delicious. I would have posted a picture of the meal I just picked up for take out but I ate it.
Good afternoon my name is Ronald I am reaching out because my wife and I are very unsatisfied with our meal. Our mean was stone cold, we let our server (Kendrick) he comes back with our check telling us that he's hooked us up with a discount only to find out it's 10% of our 50$ bill. My wife was in tears leaving I have attached a picture of our receipt as proof. I would like my money refunded immediately, if I don't get any resolution to MY SATISFACTION I will be going to the corporate office about this and if that doesn't work I will go to the media in regards to our situation.Thank you and have a nice day. This is the 1st step on me going public
Always gets my order wrong when I get delivery. When I come to eat inside no one helps me or looks at me and walks away. No one answers the phone and the service when your at the table if you need more to drink just forget about it or if you need something else.
Definitely under staffed and that is understandable. However, the customer service level when finally greeted after a 30 minute wait before an employee said a word to us was abysmal! What appeared to be the manager finally greeted us. I explained how we had waited over 20 minutes to even be acknowledged and his response was it will be at least another 40 minutes and he didn’t even put us on the wait list. Every person who entered was not treated even remotely as a valued customer. You can still provide customer service while over worked and under staffed. I would suggest new management or this place will just lose money.
Came in to grab food one evening. The place was empty but picked up after we arrived. Only one server dealing with inside and pickup orders, but handled themselves well. No issues and food was great as usual.
Cooks don't know how to poach eggs. Also they try to charge me for every cup of hot tea even though its refills are free.Ihop needs to hire better cooks to compensate for the cost of the food. The kitchen staff needs to be examined and supervised in order to maintain the quality of the Ihop standards.
I had the worst experience from one of my favorite places to eat. On December 16th I was on lunch. I walked in to an empty lobby waiting at the counter for 5 to 7 mintes No one addressed me. Workers were in and out of kitchen. Another 3 mins we are at 10 minutes a young lady comes an sweeps around me. Nothing said! No have you been helped nothing. she leaves I decide to order online in the lobby. I am on lunch cant keep waiting. I ordered then flagged someone over finally then asked if they could add some things to my order it just printed. the lady said what then no. left and another lady came out to say I cant order like that. it is only ordered how the online has it with an attitude. guess who the attitude lady was. the sweeper who was sweeping around me earlier. her name is Taylor she says she is the manager when I asked who she was. She asked if I still wanted the order I replied yes she left came back with the order and left. she then went to the kitchen to tell the people about and talked bad while I was still in lobby. I got on my phone to call corporate to complain and got joey who took my complaint. he tried to make excuses didnt care about the bad service. while I was on the phone with joeyvTaylor came back out and I told her she shouldn't take about customers loudly in kitchen to other staff. finished my call with joey asked for a call back from head person. I have yet to get a call from any one at all about that horrible service. I ordered the only way I could with no one trying to assist me.
