Wings were flavorful and delicious. I like how the booths were isolated with the clear plexiglass above each section. Service was great and fast. Seems like more and more restaurants are using the toast app to order and checkout now.Sadly, we spilled our sauce we had ordered on the side so be VERY CAREFUL when you order sauce on the side. It will cost extra for another one.Their TVs seemed outdated since the 3 that I saw were bluish color.Overall, highly recommend!
My daughter introduced this Korean style restaurant to me and I just love their wings. They have a variety of flavor’s and they are all delicious. I sometimes order just the plain rings w/no sauce, because they taste like mini fried chicken. The wings themselves are huge and meaty for buffalo style wings. The location has plenty of parking, the ambiance is great and each booth is great for social distancing w/glass. I drive from Nb, Tx to Austin, Tx just to eat these wings over any local wing place Closer to me, because they’re that delicious.
It was my first time trying out Korean fried chicken with dark meats. Most Korean fried chicken places that I have been to only really served flat wings and drumsticks. The skin of the chicken was crispy and not very greasy. The meat was tender and falls off the bone easily. I liked the honey ginger sauce because it had a strong ginger taste to it. The honey Parmesan was pretty good too. Appetizers wise, I would say the garlic parmesan fries and the mushrooms were worth trying. The fried pickles fall apart very easily. This place is worth a try!
We ordered sweet&sour and garlic parmesan cheese fried chicken, and both flavors were amazing!They process orders efficiently, so it didn't take too long to wait. Besides the food, space planning is also recommended.There is a waiting area with seats for takeout order, so customers will not feel awkward while waiting or block others from getting to the cashier.
LOOOVE this place. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, and crispy. The sauce is delicious. The pickled radish is delicious. The only thing is...i wish they still had honey biscuits! ? They were just as good as the chicken. I hope they come back. However their cheesy fries are also good!
Incredibly solid Korean fried chicken. Ordered the 9 piece dark in sweet and spicy as well as the garlic Parm fries.The fries were super crunchy while still having a good amount of potato filling inside. I think hiwings puts baking soda on the fries, it's definitely a uniquely crunchy texture. Flavor is on point too with the garlic and parm.The chicken is very tender and the breading was satisfyingly crunchy. There's only 1 sauce per order of 9 piece dark, so I got the sweet and spicy, which is the standard Korean fried chicken flavor.Overall, great chicken and fries, just wish you could have maybe 2 sauces per order of chicken. 1 sauce gets pretty monotonous for 9 pieces.
I really like the taste of the chicken. It was fresh and delicious. The price is a bit higher compared to its counterparts but it does worth it. I tried half chicken with sweet soy on top and definitely recommend it.
My wife and I have been to Hi Wings three or four times now. Even brought along a couple friends last time. Outstanding food and service every single time. Happy to support this business and eat some of the best damn chicken in Austin. Don't bother with Pluckers up the road. This place beats it in every way imaginable.
Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant has an interesting online ordering system. Honestly, I think it would be easier just to talk to a human being. The cool part is that you can automatically pay everything separately. I couldn’t eat much but the appetizers because there were no vegan options on the main courses. I hope this restaurant can accommodate for more diets.
This place has some of the best Korean fried chicken in town! Hi Wings has so much going for them: 1) Super crispy KFC, 2) Perfectly flavored garlic fries, 3) Phenomenal safety protocols in place (such as plastic dividers between all tables and face shield to separate you from the staff, 4) Wonderful and attentive service, and 5) Super easy QR code available for ease of ordering and paying on your phone. I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
