We were looking for a place to grab dinner on our way to an event and this place caught our eye. I’m glad it did! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, the staff were friendly, all the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Two in our party had The Haymaker burger, it looked amazing. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I didn’t think to. Another got the patty melt with the veggie patty. She was super impressed with the patty and the meal overall. I got the burger with blue cheese and bacon. I ordered without a bun and with a side salad, I was impressed with the burger patty as it was large, perfectly cooked, and super flavorful. The bacon may have been the best bacon I’ve ever had… I could have just eaten a plate of that bacon. They have a great selection of beers with many local. We will definitely be back.

Two years ago it was a 5.Now downgrading to 2 stars topsWorthless service, nice guy, but man he can't remember anything... Taking notes doesn't seem to help either.Their roast beef sandwich is garbage. Little portion of fries, cold beef...I think burger King can even top that

Went there on a casual Sat afternoon (3-6p) to meet up with friends and enjoy some darts and beers. Although it wasn't very busy and there seemed to be a server assigned to the section, the server just kept ignoring our table for quite a long time. One person in our party just gave up to and ordered food at the bar. When another person tried to get the server's attention to order food as she passed by serving adjacent tables, she very clearly seemed annoyed that she was stopped and very bruskly took the order. We were all a bit stunned by her annoyed reaction. Also the dartboards had clearly been neglected for a while and not maintained with empty tables and chairs blocking their use. We moved one table out to at least get one board free, but new people later sat at the tables blocking the 2nd board, which made playing a serious safety hazzard. Not a great experience overall. Bartender was fine though.

Went with some colleagues on a work trip. The food and drinks were fine, but the service was horrendous. It took me about a half hour to get my first beer, and when I wanted another, our server completely forgot about it. After a half hour I reminded him again, and it took another half hour for it to be delivered. It's worth checking out, but if it looks busy, save yourself the time and turn around.

We stopped into this restaurant after walking all over the Austin airport, checking out what they had to offer. There was a bit of a line, but we were in no hurry as we had a few hours to kill. Once we were finally seated, we ordered the Pretzel Bites with cheese and Traditional Poutine fries; these were our favorite items; I ordered the BLT sandwich and the other half ordered a Texan Burger. The sandwich and burger were just okay, nothing special or out of the ordinary; I would probably give it a 2/5 rating. However, the pretzels I’d give a 4/5 they were very delicious and fresh and added cheese for dipping.

3 of us enjoyed back-to-back NFL conference championship games here...so we were at Haymaker for like over 7 hours. And that afforded plenty of time to sample the fun atmosphere, great crowd, a wide selection of draft beers, and 6 shared appetizers and a main entree for each.Haymaker has a ton of beer choices, but I stayed with a nut brown ale all day/evening. My brother sampled 7 different beers and enjoyed each and all.On the food front, all was really good with each of us having our favorites. Still, there was strong consensus on the chicken wings, sausage balls, and the pretzel bites. Oh and the beer cheese was crazy good as a dipping sauce for all things edible. Our order of poutine (traditional style) was pretty good, but maybe had a tad too much gravy...if that is possible. But in a flight of appetizers at Haymaker, a order of Poutine just seems mandatory. The main food event for both guys was the excellent Pecan Street Blues Burger, while my wife had the Margherita Grilled Cheese which I sampled too. We all were very happy with our choices. And on previous visits I've tried other burger/sandwich choice and all have been quite enjoyable. There are lots of big screen TVs, so watching the games was easy. Nice outside patio too when one needs a break. This was my third trip to Haymaker and it is becoming a favorite for a sports bar and grill.

Lance and Sydney and ALL the bartdenders and servers and chefs like Henry and Victoria are beyond awesome. Plus, they got soccer/footy and great drink specials every day.And if you need a drum lesson, they have like a handful of pro drummers on staff. As the Go-Go's said "we got the beat....Yeah!!"

Great place to watch sports but best of all is the killer food!! Just love everything they put out of the kitchen. Great cocktails, cold beer and affordable wine, good wine. I know! Crazy concept. This place makes a real commitment to high quality in a great atmosphere.

Pretty heavy on greasy food without much of a selection of lighter fare or appetizers besides salads. Very typical sports bar. Not great customer service, but at least willing to make up for food brought out cold. Tons of TVs and usually pretty busy, but their daily specials are best, particularly the Sunday sangria.
