This place is like a fast food place. Ok.. it is one.. but its different. Focused on Family.. Fun.. Good Food. Definitely a Good Austin vibe.Ben was very helpful and allowed me to open a tab so my family could order when they were ready.. 7 adults 3 kids. Alejandro took our orders at the counter. All went smooth. The burger were very good. I had the SouthWest(2) Cowboy 1, Fried Chicken sandwich... real chicken. 2 Classics, 1 Big Hat. 2 kids meals.. and shakes. $106.00. Hat Creek Burger has a wonderful selection of burgers, including keto and veggie versions. The salads are awesome. And their service is very swift and friendly.
I usually rate places high as long as they’re edible and have decent service because I know bad reviews can really hurt a small business. This place, however, blows just about every other place I’ve been out of the water. Possibly the best burger I’ve ever had, and the customer service was great. My mask broke while I was there and the guy was very nice and went out to his truck to see if he had extras. It’s not close to where I live, but I will be returning 100%
Just a burger similiar to What a Burger, sauce is a plus otherwise Just cost more for a location.

TLDR: An above par fast food burger.Hat Creek fills the same market niche as places like P-Terry's and In-N-out. It provides a slightly better than average burger, and a pretty decent atmosphere. the restaurant overall was clean, the staff were nice. pretty prime example of a fast food place. One nice thing they do have is they serve beer, which does set them apart.I had the "Big Hat" combo with fries. the burger itself was pretty decent. Nothing absolutely mind blowing, but I got what I paid for. Same for the fries. they do have a couple sauce options available for free, which is nice, as being charged 25 cents for some sauce is sort of annoying.all things considered, I'd put this place at slightly above a 3/5.
