Every time is halal time!!! I forgot to like, eat?? Yesterday at all & woke up at 2am STARVING. I ordered UberEats from here bc I had a UberEats promo to use. The food was awesome! The fries came with 3 different sauces and were sooo crispy and tasty. The lamb over rice was super tasty too with a large portion. I liked the little pickle slice on top. The dish had an awesome balance of flavors. The best part?? I got this at 2 freaking AM. Everywhere here closes early, especially Sunday nights. I’d absolutely order from here again.
It did take quite a while to get our food because they are very busy. The food I would say was decent and the rice is slow cooked. I wanted the beef ribeye but they were out and we got the lamb instead which was kind of like most Halal places except the smell of their Halal was very different and I felt like they used a little bit more of the spices. One meal is good for like two meals or to share between two people because it is very filling. They have tahini sauce which differentiates them from others and they don't easily add feta cheese into their salad or pita bread on the side.
If I admitted how often we come here after a night out; you'd think I'm crazy. But it's truly that good. Lamb over rice, lamb wrap, combination plate. It's all so good and the service is A1.
I ordered chicken over rice and it's pretty good, quantity is good for 1 person. You could order on iber eats or door dash as well. If you order online you can quickly grab from behind the entrance.
The best shawarma in Austin. These guys work hard and the quality of their food shows. I cannot stress enough how tasty it is. Their falafel is to die for as well. The only gyros I’ll eat in austin. Keep up the good work, y’all! I’ll see y’all soon.
This place is fantastic!! I recently tried the combo with chicken and lamb and it was amazing!! It was so good I went back for the lamb plate a few days later. They literally have the best Mediterranean / halal in Austin!! Also, Sam (the owner) and the rest of the crew are so great! Amazing food, outstanding service, and a nice crowd. I'm definitely going back.
Oh man! If I could give this a 0, i would. Ordered a chicken wrap and except for the pita, everything was cold (including the chicken). Imagine biting into a warm pita, only to run into cold chicken and cold sauce.Maybe these reviews are really late night, but go across the road and get some fresh quesadillas that are actually worth the money!Hard pass!!!
Landed at Austin and directly went to Halal Time since this was one of the few well rated food trucks that was open way past midnight.. we ordered the chicken and falafel wrap (delicious love the sauce and the falafel was nice crispy crunchy while the chicken was juicy and flavorful - great wrap), chicken over rice was great, falafel over rice was great too. If you check in via Yelp they offer free french fries with your order and their french fries are really good served with hot sauce.. if you like your food spicy then please ask for additional hot sauce to add to your wrap or rice bowl.. overall loved our dinner here at Halal Time.. there was a huge line post 1am and I can see this place being really busy on a weekend..highly recommend these guys!
They have perfected the lamb and falafel. Look no further. You will love it. We had Lamb over rice with a side of falafel. It was the best mid east food we had in a long time.
Looks unassuming but holy cow amazing amazing food. Best food truck I’ve ever had by far.
