A decent and reasonably priced strip mall-sushi joint. I recommend the rolls, but not the sashimi — the other reviews are spot on: they are cut thick. too thick. My salmon was also so cold that the texture seemed to be very lightly frozen. If you do order sashimi, get it nigiri style — those appear more traditional in size and cut in the photos from other reviews. Walked in at 2pm on a Wednesday and was seated immediately.
We have been dining at Haiku for over 10 years. When we lived in Austin we were probably there once a week, and now that we moved away we still visit several times a year. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love this restaurant. We are always greeted warmly, and now that we have kids they always make a point to acknowledge them too. And the FOOD. I’ve had highly rated sushi in Austin, all of the major Texas cities and at least 15 other major cities around the country and Haiku is hands down my favorite. It’s always fresh, and their special rolls are AMAZING. My kids love it too, and we’ve taken almost all of our family and friends. Everyone agrees: Haiku is the best sushi in the Austin area.
Decent sushi boat at very reasonable price. Definitely left us full but I expected more fish and less teriyaki. The salmon was very fresh as delicious but some of the pieces were less than stellar. The drinks and service were great!
I like that place, I went to it several times and every time it’s different, like better and delicious cuisines:. I’ll definitely like to back again for more delicious ‘ spicy, and taste and delicious’
I enjoy eating here. It’s not a 5 star sushi place but it hits the spot! They are lacking on menu options which is why I gave a 1 star deduction, but the food they do have is good! The raw nigiri is good!
Delicious! All the food we got was great, and I had plenty of leftovers to take home and enjoy later, definitely worth the price.
Stopped in on a Friday night and experienced an friendly staff, chill ambiance, efficient kitchen/sushi bar, and exceptional food. We ordered a variety of sashimi, the Austin Roll, the Texas Roll AND the Mushroom Duck. All were very high quality, fresh and delicious. Thank so much for the nice evening!
The food here was so delicious. The sushi was fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere the restaurant has. It's definitely worth a try if you're around shopping in Southpark Meadows. ?
First time here chicken was hard and some of the rice was over cooked. The sauce softens it up the chicken but you have to soak it.
Hi all. We recently went there for our anniversary not really knowing what to expect. There's a first time for everything. I have to say it was terrific. Really good sushi and service, and we're looking forward to going back.
