Normally I don’t complain about anything H‑E‑B. I have not purchased Pan de Polvo Mexican wedding cookies from the bakery in a while. Today I bought some and I was very disappointed with the taste. They do not taste the same. The taste of coconut was in the cookie which it has never had coconut taste. I used to buy these because how close to the taste of my recipe they had. Go back to the old recipe if it’s been changed.

We went to Torchy's for lunch. Torchy's is a chain of restaurants in and around the Austin area. This one is near an H E B at the site of the old Robert Mueller airport and a number of businesses. We walked in the door and took a menu then proceeded through the line. Where we placed our order. We asked for their queso and chips, fried avocado in a bowl, the Democrat, a chicken fajita, and a tuna taco. Our order was then brought to our table. The food was good. There was quite a large menu to pick from. Good eats. :)
Richie, the bakery manager, was absolutely amazing! He made the whole process of ordering a wedding cake completely stress free, and somehow managed to turn the random photo inspirations I sent him into the cake of my dreams. Everyone raved about how beautiful and delicious the cake was!
What can I tell you that isn't obvious. You can grab a good tasting and convenient meal before/after shopping ath HEB. Plenty of choices and reasonably fast service based on the time of day. Always a tempting option
