The best damn chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken is authentic, thick, n juicy. Watch out for the Thai chicken sandwich tho.. it was so spicy I had a whole tear drop from my left eye.
Best burger I’ve had in a long time! So damn good!

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for The Golden Tiger’s famous motto, "Anyone can cook." But I realize, only now do I truly understand what they meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at The Golden Tiger, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in Austin. I will be returning to The Golden Tiger soon, hungry for more.
Being born and raised here in Austin, I have had a ton of different burgers. This is BY FAR the best burger I have had! Get the golden burger as is with bacon! You won’t be sorry. So good I almost ordered another, glad I didn’t because I’d be in a food coma right now.
I have been to Golden Tiger 10 times… it literally gets better with every bite. The people that work their are amazing. Super friendly…I can tell the burger is made with love and they take pride in their craft. Also the chicken sandwich is fire. In the back of an awesome bar as well. If someone can find me a better burger in AUstin I will pay you $500
(BG: I work in the area and was born and raised in Austin)Unfortunately, my first time here I was served the dryest most overcooked burger of my life (probably) … was deterred from coming back for a few months after that. Maybe it was a fluke because I ordered the single plain burger that’s on the menu. Tonight I gave it a second chance and I had the best smash burger/one of the best burgers I’ve had in Austin. I think they really know what they’re doing with the flavors. Also, the Louisiana hot pepper on the side really speaks to me. Hell yeah, y’all— I’ll be back!!!
I’ve been looking for the ‘perfect’ smash burger in Austin and this has been my favorite, to-date! I’ve been back multiple times and have always had a great burger! The fries are also perfect in my opinion, very similar to McDonalds fries. I’ll continue to give them my money as long as they don’t change the burger!
Ordered a burger and Thai chicken, both delicious, fries were tasty as well. Huge portions.
The bar, the burgers. Imagine any situation where you would need the top 10 burgers you've ever had.... first date, food tour of Austin, out with coworkers, out with the buds. the burger is magical, the atmosphere unforgettable, really if I wasn't visiting this would be my everyday hangout..
