Scallops were not good nor stuffed mushrooms. Redfish was good. Overpriced.

The options for a great dinner experience with good food, service and atmosphere are not easy to find. We were thrilled that Freda's was still sensational. Had the extras like wine and desert and they were very reasonable too.
Great appetizers, great drinks, even the custom ones we ordered. Great seafood and service as well. A bit pricey, but it is totally worth it. Canât wait for the weather to cool so we can enjoy the outdoor dining again.
It was our 45th wedding anniversary and we dressed up. Ankle length skirt, blue mess uniform with black tie. Our waitress practically curtsied every time she left our table. My wife's mahi-mahi was so good, she felt sorry for me having ordered the etouffee. The crawfish and shrimp etouffee was so good, I dipped my garlic bread in the cream sauce and mopped up the bowl with the excellent cornbread . . . and I felt sorry for her. When our dessert came, they had written a happy anniversary message on the plate in raspberry icing, added candles, and the manager brought us complimentary champagne cocktails. Really made us feel special. Gotta go back for my birthday next month!
One of the absolute best places in Austin to eat. If you haven't been, please treat yourself. Food is good, and reasonably priced. Restaurant is large, but quiet and very inviting. Always a hit.
We got the shrimp diablo for an appetizer. There were only three pieces but it was AMAZING! We could've eaten just that for a meal if we had a pile of them. The filet mignon was the best! They serve the steaks with an herb garlic butter...so good! The crawfish mac and cheese was just ok. Our server was Paul and he was very attentive but not overbearing. The owner Freda is at the restaurant and she is very sweet. Wish we lived closer so we could go there more often.
Food was very good I wasnât expecting the fish tacos to have a fried shell. They were good but I think I would have preferred flour tortillas. Service was great
Excellent seafood, everything we ordered was good, Oysters, Prawns, Fish, Deserts ... This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The restaurant is a bit dated but plenty of space inside, parking space; and besides it has a nice bar at the front. Recommended place for business meals or family get togethers or just a dinner getaway for two.
