A great place for group dinner! I love the atmosphere, the food served here and the hospitality at this restaurant! Highly recommended the Enchiladas de Pato. The shredded duck is tender and moist. And the poblano-spinach sauce goes well with the enchiladas.There is only limited space in the lot and it fills pretty quickly during peak hours. Yet there is plenty of street parking in nearby neighborhood.

This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Austin. They serve a more traditional Mexican cuisine than the typical Tex-Mex you find around town. I have really enjoyed all the dishes I've tried, but my favorite is the enchiladas suizas. The Angels on Horseback appetizer was a hit too. The frozen margaritas are great, and the atmosphere is too. An added bonus is the art work.
Amazing food and atmosphere.
This renowned Austin restaurant has been open since 1975. It features Cuisine of the nation of Mexico... Not TexMex. They have a modest-sized parking lot, so be prepared to look for a space on the side streets near the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is lovely with plants and appealing nooks for some privacy at your table. They offer a full bar, as well. We were dismayed, however, by the lack of paper menus. We are older adults and the "scanning the app" approach doesn't work for us! We were there for happy hour, which has special prices including the tostadas appetizer, the quesadilla appetizer, the tacos al pastor appetizer, and the ceviche. By ordering these half price appetizers the pricing was more amenable to our wallets. They make a good margarita, as well. Service was adequate but not great. Many Austinites love this restaurant and its cuisine, but it is a bit pricey for my taste. There are Lamborghinis and Ferraris in the parking lot. But the food is authentic and delicious. Overall, for a special occasion or if you don't mind paying a little of a long dollar, they will welcome you here.
The ambiance was gorgeous and our waiter was very observant and friendly. The food was delicious, as always.We went out for Valentine's and were hoping for a nice evening and we were seated next to a big party group that was extremely loud. It was hard not to get slightly annoyed, especially since there were many empty tables in the next room

I usually love this place, high end Mexican classics, great ambiance. However, the other night we took our adult children and spouses out to celebrate a family birthday and were thoroughly disappointed. If my wife and I were there by ourselves we would have sent every food item ordered back, everything was cold and tasteless. Most expensive enchiladas Ive ever had and they were ice cold. Way over priced food and way under delivered as a restaurant. Off our restaurant rotation.
