I had dinner at Fixe with colleagues from work one evening while visiting Austin. Service was excellent, very friendly and took good care of us. The warm biscuits as an appetizer were fantastic. I had the fried chicken, which was very good. They also have a good selection of drinks, especially whiskeys. Very nice place, a bit pricey but nice for special occasions or someone else is paying.
I’d never had southern food before so can’t compare it to what’s authentic or not but this place is a delight. We went in without a reservation (which is not recommended) but since we went for an early dinner the hostess was able to squeeze us in. The fixe biscuits are a MUST try!! Don’t skip that and you’ll thank me later :) our server was good, the food was good and the ambience is perfect. If in the area do give this place a try.
We had a great night celebrating our daughters birthday. We reserved the Parlor room for our large group. The communication regarding the details of reserving the room and changes to our reservation were handled promptly and very smoothly. We were welcomed by our host Donnie who was very professional but still friendly. Food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. Thank you for making our evening memorable.
Perfect place to entertain work colleagues from out of town.
Everything was fabulous. I love your biscuits and I donât like biscuits.
Southern deliciousness!
Great place to go for big parties. The food was excellent and came in a timely manner. Service was also great!
Always a great dining experience. The Beet Salad is my favorite but you cannot go wrong with anything you choose. Famous for the biscuits and wonderful drink selection. Easy to find parking or you can valet. Great location and walking distance to other restaurants and bars. Highly recommend.
Fixe has some great things going for it. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect, and is great for a variety of occasions. The food is inconsistent. Thatâs really my only âcomplaintâ. The lobster and crawfish pot pie has real potential, but as a southern girl, I am looking for a rich, creamy inside filled with fresh seafood. I got the seafood, but not much else. It was a little dry. The pimento cheese was a little runny. But the smoked trout dip was ON POINT. Excellent. The fried chicken was good, the salmon was good, it was all mostly good. Iâll be back again to try brunch.
Love love love the pork chop! Also can’t do without the delicious appetizers.
