Decided to try a new place out and wow. Really recommend it. Was not sure what to order so decided to ask waitress she was very helpful. The food was great.Muy buen servicio al clients. La comida estaba muy rica. Recomendada
We had the Spicy Crispy Fish Fillet which was crispy, but I prefer the Szechuan style with red dried peppers. We also had the Eggplant with Ground Pork which, again, I prefer the Szechuan style with red dried peppers.
The best Beijing duck I had so far in Austin, their menu is big and have so many options. They also have some Americanized Chinese dishes if you have any sissy friends who don’t want authentic Chinese food. The tofu dish with salt was out of this world, the spinach was below average and the shrimp with broccoli is Americanized so I didn’t like it but my wife did.
Soy sauce chicken was great, roast duck was good, roast pork was okay
Now allows dine in. Place wasn't crowded dinner time on a weekday.Menu items are reasonably priced. Staff can speak and understand English sufficiently well.Drink options aren't that many : iced tea, hit tea, soda, water. At a far corner, opposite the entrance, is an emergency exit/door which some patrons use to egress the restaurant. Not too good of a place to sit during extreme cold/hot weather as exterior air can blow in unto you.Place offers table or booth seating.
I had the combination bbq over rice plate. The bbq items here are way tastier than the other popular over hyped restaurant. The price was very reasonable and food portion was generous. They took my order and served me very quickly, but no one refilled my water and there were no hot sauce or soy sauce on the table that you typically see at a Chinese restaurant.
Great food, duck was great. I do have to say though that it’s really helpful to know what to order as well. A buddy of mine that didn’t know anything about the menu or the food definitely accidentally ordered some sort of rice with really dry chicken pieces on it. That’s a pretty easy fix though. The menu could benefit from being a little more descriptive for those that don’t read chinese. That aside, the meat as well as the noodles we ordered were all really impressive. Definitely will be going back next time I’m in town.
We have the most delicious Peking duck and the lamb hot pot.. there was enough food for 6.. prices are fair.. service was also really outstanding.. we definitely will be returning customers.. we really loved this new golden found place..
There's a sign on the window that claims this restaurant is in the top 50 Chinese bbq places /in the nation/ and honestly I think they absolutely deserve that honor. The food here is so good I think about it for MONTHS afterward. I get takeout every time I'm in the area, and plan entire errand days around getting food from here. One day I'll try something other than the duck & BBQ pork on rice... but until then, that dish sustains me emotionally and spiritually through hard times. Yum!
Food is mind blowing.. amazing Kung Pao chicken, love the Peking duck here, had soft noodles with veggies (fantastico).. one less star for delayed service - every time I have been there - people who came after me got their food first. I mean 3-4 tables.. food is great though.
