Had my friend pick up coffee for me from here just now, I’m convinced they either gave her a cup of milk and sugar and called it an ice coffee or they must have watery coffee. Why did she accept something that looks like a piña colada instead of a coffee? I DONT KNOW! I am disappoint.
Awesome place! No indoor dining right now due to covid cases, but ample outside seating. The bagels were incredible! I know not hard to mess up but they really made them good here. Tea was also delicious with some cool options. Would definitely come back!
Great place. I remember coming up here from Houston in the middle of the night one time and seeing the coffee shop full of people! I still go here. Delicious coffee. The jam biscuit was terrible. I asked to heat it up but it still didn't taste good. Could've been a bad batch, or their bakery just isn't up to the mark. But they are a coffee shop and they make great coffee. The vibe is good. My friend even worked there one day and really enjoyed it. Good place to chill or study or work from.
I love this place. Great for getting work done. Coffee is awesome as well. Also the area it’s in is chill. Bc of its popularity sometimes seating can be a little tricky
Barista rudeness ~~ Your employee refused to serve a police officer in uniform, that officer has reached out to management, and has yet to receive a return call ~~ I will be spending my money elsewhere
I am sad to hear that one of Epoch Coffee’s baristas, at the NorthLoop location, wouldn’t serve a officer coffee today and told the officer to leave the coffee shop. You may not serve him coffee, but this officer will still take your call and show up to protect your store no matter how he was treated there. SMH #AmericaforAll #CoffeeforAll
Free wifi, decent amount of outlets and plenty of coffee to choose from. Being from San Antonio I’m biased with my tamale experience but wouldn’t recommend theirs :/ coffee was great! Super busy in the morning but then a nice place to get work done in the afternoon
TLDR: above average coffee, good prices, immaculate vibes.I've been here several times, and just haven't gotten around to writing a review yet. The coffee is really good. It's not the best in town, but it certainly does the job well, and their portion-to-price ratio more than makes up for it. I really do like the atmosphere of the place. it seems to be in a perpetual state of "almost crowded". It makes the place seem alive, but I don't feel like I have to fight someone to get a seat. I also really love places that give you glassware if you're staying there to drink. not sure why, I just like the feeling of it. It's a bit out of the way, but certainly worth a stop through.
Respectful for awhile until they data mine your intelligence. Told me religious books aren’t allowed here?! Yet there is a Bodhisattva statue…
I moved to Austin early January 1999. This is one of my classic hangouts that is still surviving. It's eclectic and timeless. Please support this business. The employees are cool. The food is local. The drinks are good. Free internet and tables for studying, working, or meeting people. There's a house across the street that always has art in the yard. Here you will find quite interesting bathrooms that change decor and patrons add to the artistic statement. The light fixtures are wonderfully mismatched classic 70s pendants. If you lived around campus you might consider the original Epoch an extension of your living room but it doesn't have a collegiate vibe. There are 2 outdoor seating areas and 2 indoor seating areas. Plenty of choices, even during a pandemic. There is parking but it is usually crowded. You might have to park in the surrounding neighborhood."Keep Austin weird" was a statement made about keeping local businesses alive. Seriously, Google it. This is one of those wonderfully weird places. Make sure you experience it!
