My favorite Tex Mex in Austin and probably my favorite restaurant period. Very grimy but well operated and great staff. Locals brought me here when I first moved to Austin 8 years ago. The first things I noticed was the chips and hot serrano salsa is amazing. The queso is amazing. And that frozen margarita is a game changer that hits hard and transports you into delightfully hilarious conversations. Stop at 2. Food is pretty good especially the steak fajita tacos. Go for vibe and experience. I try to go as often as possible.
Small town texmex feel with gargantuan flavor. Eat here if you want to feel like a local. Unapologetic authenticity. So authentic they no longer even have a sign. This hopping joint gets by on reputation alone. The margaritas will have you singing. Unskippable. Best bang for your Tex Mex buck in Austin.
The cheese sour cream enchiladas were good, chips were a little stale, we ordered frozen margaritas and were told due to the heat we would have to wait 5 minutes due to the machine not working correctly ? but over all good experience
I was disappointed the first time cuz they didn't do curbside n I'm handicap. And didn't get to eat there. But I got to come back today, n they are very delicious for my first time. I absolutely loved the rice n and the enchiladas tasted homemade.
If you grew up in Austin, you gotta try this place. Old school Tex-Mex. Fantastic enchiladas.
OMGOODNESS!! DELICIOUS!! Great food at a great price. The margaritas are delicious and affordable. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. So glad I met my friends here for lunch. They were packed! I'll be back!! YUMMY!!
This is a spin-off of the old Jorge restaurants and it’s the closest thing to it that we have left. You can’t go wrong with number 5 on the menu.

Best Tex-Mex restaurant in Austin. These cheese enchiladas throws me back to childhood enchiladas as I grew up. And their fajita tacos are amazing you gotta try them.This place is always packed and this restaurant needs to expand it is too small for how popular in high demand the customers are.
It was our first time and we were not disappointed. It was AWESOME!! We had beef enchiladas, beans and rice. beef fajitas quesadillas , crispy tacosThe service was great, we had to put our name on a waiting list, it took about 10 minutes before getting a table.If you ever had the chance to eat a Jorge's Mexican restaurant ( on Hancock dr ) way back in a day they have some of the same recipes. We loved Jorge'sParking in tight, the restaurant itself is kinda small. The food was served quickly and it was hot. The froze. margaritas were very strong, I couldn't finish mine.We will be back very soon. ! !
