I really enjoy the food here. I love grilled cheese sandwiches and when I think of a great grilled cheese plate, this place always comes to mind first. The service is friendly and the owner if conversational. I would have given Emoji's 5 stars, but some days I show up and it's closed for catering. I'd highly recommend, it's the best Grilled Cheese in Austin, it's just that the hours can be inconsistent.
The basil pesto sandwich is amazing-one of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted ever! Crust bread, savory pesto and the right amount of meat/cheese ratio.I chatted with the owner and even better than the sandwich is her personal mission to help the homeless and teen foster youth. She employees and mentors them in business. So cool! The world needs more of her food and her passion.
This food is both gourmet quality and home-cooking quality. We were sent here by our barbers who are set up next door. The whole shop was OBSESSED. So we had to check it out.My favorite on the menu is the Tomato + Pesto. Well balanced and yummy sandwich. We also got the buffalo chicken and philly cheesesteak. All were really really good!And they came with chips, salsa, and a cookie. A great meal deal. We'll be coming back after every haircut and maybe stopping by at other times as well!On top of that, Emoji was a delight to chat with while we waited for the food. An all around very good experience :)
So dang good! I've had the bacon and cheddar (amazing) and the superb tomato basil pesto and loved them both. The woman behind the \\\"truck\\\" was friendly, curteous and helpful. Looking forward to trying more. Sandwiches come with corn chips and salsa FYI.
Heard about them from an online blog and decided to give them a try because all the photos of their grilled cheese looked SO good! It did not disappoint me! It was a tad bit oilier than I would have liked but was packed full of flavor and the portion they serve you, along with the chips and cookie, is plentiful. A good grilled cheese.

Awesome grilled cheese sandwiches. My wife and I shared the brisket and the Chipotle chicken. Both were amazing! The lady was a perfect host! We ran a little late, so she kept our food warm. She sanitized the tables so we could sit down and eat, and she gave use a bottle of hand sanitizer. Definitely going to be returning soon with more people.
I absolutely love these grilled sandwiches!!! The grilled chicken pesto is so buttery, so cheesey, so much flavor from the seasonings. It is always such a treat to visit for a tasty lunch.
I'd been meaning to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint. The grilled cheese was delicious! And it's pretty cheap for the amount of food you get.
I ordered online 3 grilled cheeses plus tip for $43.17. My time to pick up was 3:40 p.m. When I got there there was a sign "Sold Out. No one was at the food trailer. I waited for 20 minutes. I sent a text and no response. I then sent a text I would like a refund to my credit card and again no response. I am have to dispute the card with my credit card company. What a pain.
