I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff and cuisine are first-rate, and the owners are friendly, attentive and personable.
Eldorado Cafe is a great find. The food is wonderful. The service is beyond any I have experienced. Eldorado cafe is a true local restaurant. They even have vegan dishes so the menu has been created with all tastes in mind. Eldorado cafe is conveniently located right off Mopac. Great for a meal break while driving through Austin. I cannot wait to go back.
Do not get the draw to this place. Thought we’d give it a try since we were in the area. Although the staff was friendly, our server seemed untrained and awkward. He gave only vague descriptions of the salsas, brought one tiny bowl of salsa for three people. We ordered the enchilada clásica plate and we’re definitely underwhelmed. The enchilada sauce on top was flavorful, but everything else was forgettable. The taco was a joke. I did enjoy the margarita. We gave it a try, but will not be back. Too many choices in Austin.
We are in Austin often and this was our first visit to El Dorado Cafe! We went on a busy Friday evening and there was a wait which was to be expected. There is not a lot of room to wait inside but outside was an option and the weather was nice. After a bit, We were lucky enough to snag a couple seats at the bar and have a drink while awaiting our table. The margaritas were excellent and priced normally for the area and the chips and salsa were delicious. They offer a variety of salsas depending on your taste. Once we sat down at our table, our server was attentive and our food was brought to us promptly for as busy as it was. I would eat here again without question!
Everything was amazing! The smells and taste was unbelievable! What made it even better was the outstanding customer service! Definitely going back!
We had a delicious take out dinner. Everything that we ordered was very good and we were able to order a container of pre-mixed Margarita's that was delicious.
I had carnitas plate with rice and beans all was good. It is a small place with good food would like to try other menu items next time...
Amazing! Can’t wait to go back. The rest of the day after brunch, we were talking about what we’ll order on our next visit. You can tell the food is made with high quality ingredients, by people who know what they are doing! And a bonus: the staff was incredibly nice during a busy Saturday lunch period.

I actually did not expect to like this place….however… It ended up being one of the greatest nights out in some time. The service was phenomenal! The margaritas..especially the top shelf …were awesome!
