I came across this place about maybe a year ago. I have a friend who once made me pupusas and I have tried ordering at other places but it was not the same. Stopped here one day and came for lunch each chance I could because they were so delicious and not dry as I've tasted elsewhere. I stopped by with my kids a few days ago and they loved it!! The customer service is spot on, her good very delicious you can't go wrong ordering here. I'd give her 100 ?
I’m so glad I stopped here from the airport to McKinney Falls! The woman working was absolutely delightful.. made my pupusas to order and they were amazing! Loved the queso y Loroco! Can’t wait to try the flautas before I leave (: there are a few food trucks and when I went to the first one and asked if they had pupusas, they directed me where to go.. which was really kind of the owner to do so when they could have easily had me as a customer, instead!
100000% would recommend.I've been going around trying to find a decent place to buy pupusas but not many have come close to the ones I remember having back in the day.I usually always go for the revueltas but the places I've gone always put too much beans and little to no meat. But the pupusas I got from El Buen Gusto have been just right. There's meat in every bite, not too much beans, and enough cheese. The taste is the same as the ones I remembered.
After being in Texas for 3 months and not finding anything authentic, I finally found my spot. Holy mother of God!!! The lady at this place was amazing, she was very polite, I told her of my bad experience at Gloria’s and she assured me that her pupusas were the best. She was not lying. I can’t wait to go back and get some more as well as try her empanadas and quesadilla. As a Half-Salvadoran I 100% recommend this place as well as my coworkers that I brought food for recommend it too. Don’t second guess it just go and give her a try. Also make sure you have time to sit around pupusas that are made fresh always take at minimum like 10-15 min, trust me it’s worth the wait. Also forgot to mention sadly she is cash only so make sure you bring at least $15 that should cover for a decent amount of food.

DELICIOUS pupusas! The staff catered a big event for my colleagues, and it went remarkably well. Luisa was very responsive and insisted on getting everything right for our team. On top of that, Luisa and her staff were very friendly and very efficient. I would highly recommend El Buen Gusto to anyone!
I have tried almost every pupuseria in Austin, and this is hands down the best there is in town. She has a variety of foods but the best are pupusas and the Salvadoran quesadilla!! Nothing like that in Austin!!!

This place is a great place to get some amazing food, I love the Pupusas and the grilled shrimp would recommend them to anyone that’s looking for great taste and good price
