I've loved this place ever since we came here for a friend's graduation dinner. I always get the perfection roll (the salad adds a wonderful, fresh crispness to the roll) and the baked dynamite (very filling - it's comfort food sushi). The stuffed mushrooms are also really good and really, really stuffed so they tend to fall apart but it's fine, eat it in 2 parts. My boyfriend loves their sashimi, especially the tuna. Ask about the wasabi relish if you're getting a few types of fish.Michael has been our waiter quite a few times and he's great! This place is open later than other restaurants. The food and service have always been wonderful, highly recommend!
First time trying it and we were very pleased with our food. We arrived right when they opened so it wasn’t so crowded. The sushi tasted amazing and fresh! To us it was more Americanized sushi than actual sushi, but it’s still really good. Portions are big we actually had to take some home with us and the pricing is fair for the amount you get. The staff is so friendly! Definitely ask for Michel.
Not an authentic Japanese restaurant. Overall just about the average.Agedashi tofu - Terrible. Agedashi tofu should use silk/soft tofu, cut in cubes, soaked in bonito broth, and topped with radish paste. This one was not even close to what it's supposed to be.Tempura - Vegetables were okay. The shrimp was not very fresh, and I expected the texture more crispy.Otoro (tuna belly) - The fish was good, quite fatty and smooth. It would be better without the topping, which messed up the flavor of the fish. I would recommend putting a bit wasabi in-between the fish and rice, not in the topping sauce...Sake toro (salmon belly) - Like the texture of otoro but fattier and thicker. I was looking forward to the 'melting' feeling but not quite there yet. Still a fairly good one.Signature nigiri - It was okay. Fish were decent but the topping remained a minus.
My son wanted to give Japanese cuisine a try for his birthday. So, after a quick search on OpenTable, we selected Ebisu. What a wonderful experience!! The atmosphere is amazing, the food was incredible, and the waitstaff were attentive without being obtrusive. We had a great time and look forward to our next visit.
Really good ambience, great food, service and price
The best sushi in town!!!!!
A very unique and exceptional experience with amakasa style dining. We were offered a wide variety of sushi prepared in traditional and modern methods. The service was very friendly and patient as they explained each dish to our table. Our meal was paired with a chilled sake and a grand selection of desserts
Great Japanese food. The atmosphere is very nice. The sushi is delicious. O-toro is a must! The Wagyu beef is mouthwatering.
Ebisu consistently offers amazing sushi! Everything on their menu looks amazing but i haven't tried all the rolls yet so haven't made it to the other entrees. The avocado bomb is the best starter! You need to try the reverse happy hour, i think it's from 8-10pm, my husband and i were both full and spent less than $80 on drinks and rolls!Great date night place, and live music on some nights. The place is very clean and space tables out sufficiently. Their food is also great when picked up, if you don't want to dine in.
Great selection of sushi, sashimi and rolls. I really liked the spicy edamame and the quality of the fish was very good. My only complaint is the service was slow and not very friendly.
