So sorry for what happened to this place , used to love it , but now they do less food , more expensive , I payed 16 dollars for a por belly meshi and no joke it had less that 3 spoons of rice and they charged me extra mor Mayo , a lot of options are sold out (always) and service not good either .Also they started using all plastic when they used boxes before .

Was it the best wonton I've ever had including the 12 years I've lived in Asia? No of course not. But was it the worst wonton ever? Actually yes. The wrapping to filing ratio was like 10:1 and the filing had no bite. It was mushy like mashed potato. The wrapping was over boiled. It would have been better to actually serve fries and just dump the herbs and spices on top of it. It'll pass as gourmet here in AustinThe pork belly bowl was not as bad. Way better than Loro's but that's not saying much. The flavors here complement and not clash, but I feel like it was more due to luck than actually understanding Asian cuisine.. because if they did, they would have at least cut the pork belly into smaller pieces

We love East Side King! We hired them to cater the welcome party for our wedding with 100+ guests. We really wanted a food truck option, and while they didn't have one initially because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they worked with us and we were able to get one as things opened back up again. During our correspondence, at times it took a follow up email or two to get a response. But they were very flexible with our menu changes and the various food allergies of ours guests. And on the day of, they showed up early and did a fantastic job. The food was DELICIOUS and our guests kept saying how much they loved it.

Oh yeah, it's super good! Well worth trying! DO NOT PARK BEHIND THE BUILDING! You will get a boot on your car. The building with T Mobile, Smoke ATX, etc. has a guard watching the lot all day and will boot your car. Park on the left side of the building. They have plenty of signs explaining this, thankfully!

Would go back for tofu and chicken, but wasn't a big fan of other items in the bento boxes. Other reviews say they had issues with parking but it seems pretty clear to me where to park (next to tattoo shop, if you have to walk through a fence from another lot you're not in the right parking lot- kinda obvious). Fun snacks and drinks available to go. Friendly service and clean place.

food is great and the outdoor patio is wonderful. unfortunately the whole thing is ruined because smokers will camp there all day chain smoking. my last visit I almost sat in a pile of used butts too. I couldn't taste my food over the smoke. ruins the appeal of dine in for me

Was excited to check out ESK after grabbing their food at ACL last year (most delicious and most generous for the price at the fest!) yet completely opposite at the shop. Portions for both the Brussels sprout and tanga chicken meals were so small (over fluffed with garnished herbs) that we had to order another dish. Disappointing.

Great food and fun place. It's more of a Fusion restaurant than a true Japanese restaurant. There's also a small section of Japanese pre packaged snacks and sweets.Food was very delicious. The biggest surprise for us was the beet fries- amazing! We also ordered the pork buns, dumplings, chicken karage. All were delicious. The dining area was fun.

What happened to this place? I used to get ESK so long ago and it was always tons of food reasonably priced. Now the food is gross, not even close to generous portions, and overpriced. The manager was nice and refunded us but we won’t be back anytime soon. Can’t imagine they can survive like this forever with all the better competitors…

Just picked up a $7 Uber delivery from here that cost me -$100!! The parking next to the building is not for East Side Kings!!! Don’t park in the 2300 blk parking for t-mobile and other business there for that matter. There are two Creepy cheesy watch dog male banshee’s behind the wooden fence with green neon jackets waiting for you to park and leave the parking lot to put a freakin’ BOOT on your tire and costs $100 dollars to remove. They don’t kindly warn you not to park there. They expect you to observe the warnings that I did not see due to just go in and out to pick up an order that took 10 secs!! I’m happy the order was ready but even the warning sign on the door going in still didn’t catch my attention!! If you are reading the warning sign on the ESKings’s door you already have The boot on your tire!!
