I order the sides, I like the many options, don't care too much of their main food. The area is sketchy, but inside, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean. I also like that it's not crazy busy during lunch. All the sides you see was $27.43, including a water bottle, they were all the smallest size.

The outside of this place is deceiving. It's tucked away between between a couple of old hotels that look a little sketchy. :) Once inside it's spacious, clean, and you notice Covid defenses (pre-package silverware, condiments, etc. Last, but not least, the food is good and the portions are sizable.

Expensive foe under cooked and not what I expected at all :-( Burger was supposed to have brisket on top. There was no BBQ sauce either :-(

Horrible!I ordered the 3 meat plate...chicken, ribs, and links...didn't get ribs, they gave me brisket. I called ahead and asked if ribs were available and they said yes. Chicken tasted like it was baked in oven...no smoke flavor or smoke ring on the chicken or the brisket. The macaroni and cheese tasted worse than that Kraft boxed stuff. I ate two bites and tossed it. The hotlink was ok, the beans were good and so was the banana pudding. Would never order or go to this place ever again.

Their lean brisket is actually very good. I was looking for BBQ that was not fatty or greasy. This was perfect. Not dry or tough, not fatty. Had good smoke flavor. Pretty tender. The sides were good. Nothing to complain about really. Not my favorite BBQ place, but if I pass through the area again and I see this as an option, I would stop in.

The brisket was good. I got the lean brisket and it was just right. I like coleslaw and theirs was it - not too sweet or watery, or creamy, just a good ole slaw that complimented the beef. Their fries, however, were too greasy. So I'll try the mash potatoes next time.

This isn't "craft" BBQ. This isn't "artisan" by any stretch. It's probably not going to be on any of the BBQ lists you'll see for food tourism in Austin. And that's ok. Donn's fills a niche. The niche is simple. Provide food, especially on the go, to the everyday Joe. If you're a working person, you'll appreciate the efficiency of the service and the early opening hours. There's a huge menu of tacos, BBQ, burgers, and even a chicken fried steak. There's indoor dining and a walk-up window.I've had both breakfast tacos and a brisket sandwich here. The servings are generous and while not gourmet, they're filling and satisfy your cravings for BBQ or tacos. They've also got excellent iced tea and a full condiment bar. This is a great option for a satisfying, yet efficient, breakfast or lunch.

Best Brisket in Austin or anywhere for that matter. It’s fresh and moist. They have a lean option that so awesome you don’t miss the fat. The staff is polite and the place is clean. It’s fast food with plastic ware but so what? It’s about the brisket and that isas good as it gets.

So the staff was super friendly, place was nice. I ordered a bunch of things just to kind of try it all out... Beef rib, ham, turkey, half chicken, burnt ends, sausage, Mac n cheese.... And, well. . . Did I mention the staff was nice???I'm not going to bash them here, but I'm not going back. I'll leave it at that.
