Bought 2 dozen pork tamales yesterday afternoon. They’re on the small side, about half the size of a regular tamale, but they taste pretty good. Not worth it though since I spent all last night throwing up. Personally I don’t think it’s worth it to return.

Beside the tamales being very small and ok tasting a female employee heavier set with a black wrap on her hair burnt orange shirt, was so high and smelled like it, I felt disgusted of her smell handling my tamales. Extremely disappointed, I've seen this girl on a couple videos on their Instagram page, not sure how this is good service to people. I do not recommend this place.

Simply delicious is the name and man I've got to try most of them there great my top ones are southwest vegetarian with salsa and the sweet tamale I've never had a quality tamales at a fair price ? delicious..

Best Tamales in Austin. I drive all over town looking for good Tamales and this place is the best. I got pork $12.50 dozen and Sweet $13.00 dozen. If you have never had Sweet Tamales you are missing out. They have a dozen other flavors too.

The smallest "tamales", super salty, more than a tamale they looked like "tacos dorados" like flautas quemadas.

I am an ex employee and the owners are just so horrible. I helped open up this place and felt happy to be working with them until they started being horrible. They bossed me around like no other! It didn't feel humane, so I had to quit. They have the most absurd rules, I was not able to be on the schedule the same day as another family member that works there for no reason complicating our lives. I felt discriminated, other family member will quit soon as well if this continues.

We had read about this spot before and were excited to try them. The spot is in a strip mall and their sign is noticeable. After reading reviews from their San Antonio location we were looking forward to a positive experience. My husband went in and ordered. They only offer tamales by the half dozen and the dozen. They didn’t have that many to choose from. He ordered a half dozen of the chicken. They apparently didn’t have any salsa to go with them which just seems unusual. How do you not have salsa? Tamales in Austin and you don’t have salsa? Anyway… we asked for plastic silverware and they simply blew on their fingers implying to use your hands to eat. They did not have any plastic silverware. So no salsa and no plastic silverware… in pretty sure those are two items you need to have a traditional tamale experience. The tamales were okay. They didn’t really stand out or have any memorable flavor. I honestly don’t think I’d go back. Lastly, they were TINY… like half the size I usually would expect a tamale to be. Pretty mediocre experience. Don’t see them lasting long if they don’t fix a few things.

Excited they came to Austin. I am from San Antonio and scared to try new places so glad to see one of my favorite from home here. Staff was very polite and welcoming. Give it a try

It was okay they are small the masa was a little dry it’s not much meat inside to me HEB makes better ones

Pork the best flavor.
