Love Delaware Subs' Italian Sub!! Best one I've found in Austin. All their Subs are good, but that's my fave. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they switched bread. I'm a NYer, and Delaware was my go-to for NY style subs. They use Boars Head Cold Cuts - which are the best in my opinion. So everything is yummy and fresh. Now there is only one location in Austin so I go when I'm around there.

Owners closed the store because they're too cheap to pay workers fair wages, but they're not too cheap to buy drug tests to fire the few remaining employees. They've completely disregarded the inflation we've seen and hardly increased wages, if at all. They will most likely blame the president for some reason, although they are the ones that could have stayed open if they just paid employees fair wages.
Jeremy and the other young man was great. My food was hot and fresh. I watch them make my food.... Just made me feeling good to eat something close to the foods in my hometown... I'll be back. I had the cheese steak, meatball and turkey sandwich... Only down side I like my cheese on top of the meat they put it on the bread so that's the bottom, but it was yummy...

If you enjoy supporting honest, local, small businesses like me, then Delaware Subs is the best sandwich shop to support in Austin. They are famous for their hot Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, and my personal favorite is the cold turkey and provolone sandwich with all the fixings (mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot peppers, Italian oil and spice). They use high quality meats and ingredients, and slice all their meats fresh in-house. I have always experienced great service and delicious food at Delaware Subs. Today, the owner/manager went out of his way to help me with a large special order that I picked up and delivered to an office for a holiday "thank you" gift. He provided a great service to me and was extremely helpful. All the office workers loved the sandwiches! And, I love to SUPPORT this LOCAL BUSINESS!
I had been wanting to try this place out as it was highly recommended by a foodie/restauranteur friend of mine.It didn't disappoint, the cheesesteak was pretty great, the sweet and hot peppers mixed with the beef gave it a really great flavorThe bread/roll was high quality and didn't turn to mush with all the fillingOnly thing i would change is next time ask for extra cheese
