Waiter was distracted but was obviously trying his best to be helpful, and was thussuper friendly; drinks were excessively stiff, atmosphere was quaint .. like a nautical Friday's. Food was pretty decent, I love the aquarium at the front door,
shrimp Poboy literally has 2 shrimp. Sauces tasted on the verge of spoiling. Sat for more than 5 minutes with not so much as an" I'll be right with you".
The north location is way better; we love and eat there often. Do not get the crawfish here. We are regular crawfish eaters and since it’s the end of the season, the crawfish everywhere else are huge and fresh right now. Not here- they were all tiny and soggy and had a strange not-fresh taste. We barely ate any of the two pounds we ordered, and when we pointed out to our server that most of the two pounds were not edible, she just said sorry and said we should take it home. She also said that it’s not crawfish season now and that’s why they’re like that— wait, when we walked in, everything is advertised like it’s in season right now, which it should be. Did you just give us all the tiny leftovers? Also, the oysters we got today were gritty, and that never happens at the north location.
I got the shrimp and veggie kabob and substituted the veggie kabob for more broccoli and green beans. The amount of shrimp I got was amazing for the price and their “deckhand sauce” was delicious! The service was great and the open space gave me room to breath in between the huge bites of shrimp. 10/10 and hands down the best price you’re going to get for the amount of food!!!
Had the salt and pepper frog legs, oysters on the half shell and peel your own shrimp. All the food was excellent. The frog legs were perfectly cooked and the batter a seasoning were on point. Service was excellent as well. The menu can be a bit overwhelming but take your time to read it and I'm sure you will find something to love.
Everything on the menu is very good!!! I highly recommend especially if you love seafood ?? one of my favorite places ?
We've visited Deckhand a few times. I love the seafood gumbo and their peel-n-eat shrimp. It's a great place for a meal, drink or snacks.
Great large fresh Oysters. Gumbo was very tasty and had plenty of ingredients. Beer was ice cold. Great service, we will be back.
Clean environment for a crawfish spot. Came on a Saturday night and they were understaffed, as the restaurant was full and there were only 3 or 4 servers in the entire restaurant. We sat ourselves as the host was not present. We ordered crawfish and the spicy seasoning was great mixed with plenty of garlic butter with potato, mushroom, sausage, and corn add ons. The crawfish were tiny in the middle of crawfish season, which was disappointing. Service was great with one exception, our order wasn’t fulfilled completely. Overall this is a good choice for crawfish though.
Man, seafood, Soooo Good!! This is another first, gumbo, with salt and pepper calamari, with shrimp for appetizers. We had 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lb of crawfish boil. The shrimp are huge and flavorful, we got the hot, and not spicy, sooooo good. The place is clean and staff very friendly and very attentive.
