Hidden gem status, though I think they've been around for ages so I'm just late to the party. Twice now have had breakfast tacos for lunch here, and it absolutely ranks best in Austin. I'd say their migas taco is #1, even tops Veracruz which I also love. Super nice staff, too.

This place is easy to miss but has quickly become our once a week fave. The margaritas are incredible and the food is awesome. Even simple things like the beans and rice are great. It’s always fun to talk to the owner’s Dad, Tony who is a walking encyclopedia of Austin TexMex. The wait staff is great too, all in all, definitely give it a try! Really surprising but delightful food and ambiance.

Love this little restaurant. The BEST Mushroom tacos I have had in my life. That mushroom is straight from the heavens. I actually prefer their mushroom taco to the other meat options. Other dishes are also great. And the charro beans that they offer as a side are amazing as well.

Lovely little Mexican Restaurant with delicious food! Excellent service and was clean and well kept!

Pretty good authentic Mexican food. I'm not sure if the gentleman helping us was the owner/manager but he was very attentive and polite! I had the enchiladas and my sister loves their fajitas.

Excellent! A favorite in Austin! It's tiny, but cozy, clean and has a great vibe! Cute decor! Service was spot on, food is flavorful...great chips and salsa! I love their fajita nachos (pictured). A MUST!

Great Mexican food south of downtown. Good service and the mole dish I had was incredible and unlike anything I have ever tasted. I really didn't understand why the place wasn't more crowded on a Friday evening, it's absolutely worth it. Emphasis on their drinks as well.

Had the La Casa Enchiladas, and they were the perfect plate of greasy, tasty, Tex-Mex.

Being from Houston, we were craving some good Tex-Mex which can be hard to find in Austin and this place satisfied our taste buds! The queso was creamy and warm, chips had a good crunch and the margaritas were on point. My husband had the verde chicken enchiladas w/ charro beans and the flavor was amazing w/ chunks of soft chicken and the verde sauce had a sweet tang to it like it should. He said they were some of the best charro beans he’s ever had. ?When I’m trying out a new Tex-Mex place I go for the classic cheese enchiladas w/ refried beans to give me a good gauge of whether or not I might like other things on the menu and wow, my plate was definitely left clean! ??Daughter had the fideo soup w/ ground beef and it came in a big bowl w/ tortillas of her choice. She was definitely impressed (picky eater) and I even had a bite and would consider getting it for a cold winter night or if I was feeling under the weather. (Fideo is good for hangover too, just sayin.)All in all, super good food, great service, margs tasty and was told they have live music on Thursday!Check ‘em out! ??????

My wife and I visited Cruzteca Mexican Kitchen on Thanksgiving Weekend as the Indian restaurant we wanted to dine at next door was about to close. Unfortunately, it was a bit late and may explain why the food was mediocre to my taste buds. But I'll still give a 5-star review.
