I tried the Cookies and Cream shake, as well as the Chocolate shake, both with Oreos on top. They were amazing. I was super happy with them. It's super difficult to find good tasting vegan milkshakes, but these were spot on. I wouldn't even notice they were vegan.
Me and my family visited Austin for the first time back at the end of December 2021 and we stopped by to grab some food. Their food is fuego! Definitely coming back at the end of this month when we come up to visit again because I been craving that dime bag!
Have you ever eaten an entire head of cauliflower in one sandwich? I certainly hadn't until I decided to stop by Community Vegan on a whim. I'm a former vegan who now eats chicken on a pretty regular basis, and I can say that their Beer Battered Cauli Chick'n Sandwich was out of this world good. Nothing like chicken because it's just cauliflower that has been battered and fried, but delicious in its own right. The batter was definitely my favorite part, it was super flavorful and it paired perfectly with the flavor of the cauliflower, the "money mustard," and the other veggies on the sandwich. I've been to a lot of different food trucks around Austin that serve vegan fried food, and you can't get a sandwich like this anywhere else.The avocado bites with their house-made ranch were delicious as a side. It was raining and gross outside when I went, but the music was a vibe, and they did have a couple of covered picnic tables that stayed dry. The service was great too; they had my food out in probably five minutes. Next time I stop by, I'm definitely getting a milkshake and trying something new on the menu.
DELICIOUS!! We've travelled from Michigan, to the east coast and along the Gulf eating at Vegan Restaurants. This is one of the Best! The Shake with Strawberry Cake is amazing! My Beautiful Bride got the Lemon Pepper Wangz Basket with Money Mustard and it was perfection, I got the Cauli Chikn Sandwich - Dirty.... LOVED it! We also got Dime Bag and Fried Avocado Bites for later and every bite was bliss.If you love great food, you need to check this place out. The people were also very friendly and helpful when we picked up our order which we places online. Excellent experience from start to last bite!
Food was okay, but poorly put together. The nachos don't look anything like the picture and just had cheese and beans without any of the other toppings, for how much they cost, I feel cheated. They forgot to put sauce on both of our sandwiches, which was very disappointing. I like the concept of vegan seafood but the execution was sloppy.
This place is great, whether you’re vegan or not doesn’t matter. My mom is vegan, and I am not even though I eat vegan a lot of the time. We always try to go to all the vegan places we can and this has become my new favorite. The lemon pepper wangz are a must if you come here, we get them every time. The tuna melt is the best tuna melt in Austin hands down, it’s better than the dead fish tuna in a can. It’s amazing. The fish sandwich is also fantastic, those are the 3 things I have had so far. I want to try more, but I’m stuck on the Wangz right now. I think I might have to go again today, two days in a row is not at all weird for a place like this.
EVERYTHING so great!!The trailer is cool, the people working we’re helpful and freindly. The music was great, the cute little seating area right on the corner was fun.Order: we only had the wings (breaded and fried oyster mushrooms) but we are going back to order everything else! They were bomb! Don’t miss this gem!
OUTSTANDING!Spent a week in Austin and discovered Community Vegan our last night. Specifically changed our plans the next morning to ensure we made it to this fantastic food truck before leaving town, and it did not disappoint.We ordered the CVS CHICK'N N WAFFLES. The breading on the oyster mushrooms was wonderful, and the mushrooms were tender and fantastic, and dang those waffle fries were crispy heaven.A must visit when in Austin!
