Good food, friendly staff, BUT disheveled restaurant... broken ceiling tiles , random storage in the corner(like ladders, boxes, etc), bits of trash stuck in air conditioner vents like paper and bits of insulation (who knows how bad the air quality is). The lobster/crab tank also looks disgusting. They also put this white plastic cover over all the tables like you would see at a child's birthday party... Cant recommend bringing a date but take-out should be fine, the food was tasty.
Who knew that this unassuming family-run Chinese restaurant at the end of an obscure strip mall made such great food! The place is not much to look at decor-wise, but when I walked into this place, filled with the smoke of “wok hei” and heard the yelling of Cantonese in the kitchen, my expectations rose… and when my food came out, I had that “Ratatouille” moment that took me back to my childhood! This is “old school” authentic, whether you believe “authentic” means the Old World (like the specials posted on the wall written in Chinese) or your neighborhood fast food from back in the old days (I’m talking pre-1990’s). Either way, if you know it by the smell of the oil in the air, you know what I mean. Give this place try if you want to know what Cantonese style was like back when we had Cantonese chefs!
The staff is very apologetic, but the kitchen can not handle the orders. My simple entree of sweet and sour chicken took more than an hour and a half to complete. Lots of yelling in the back, but great front of house and AMAZING food once I tired it at home. I would recommend this place to a friend, just know it takes a while and their times are pretty accurate.
Love this place! Some of the best Chinese in town just a quick ride from my Westlake apt, ready relatively quickly, and super nice service! I have been there at least 10 times and going there again tonight! Any noodle dish, House Spicy Crispy Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, and House Special Beef are my faves!!
Best food I’ve had in a while. Really nice family owned, they very clearly cared about what they were doing.
Had Singapore noodles, delicious!
Few serval time, wrong order/missed. Recently ordered, I spend almost $100 meal for my family and I’m shock that sweet sour chicken without sweet sour sauce on them and other three large fried rice, suppose to get fried rice with beef, second fried rice with chicken and third is fried rice with pork. All of them only fried rice with few chicken tiny of pieces. I suspect they are lazy to cook and easy for them cook once at one time. Spoke them through phone and they won’t solve this problem and unfriendly. I will never order them never ever again.
the first time I went everything was absolutely amazing the next three or four times we ordered everything was wrong I don't know what happened if they have new cooks New Management whatever the case may be but, we ordered for nine people as a pickup order if you're ordering nine separate meals those nine separate meals should be separated into nine portions they're trying to tell me that they doubled up the portions in one of the boxes but every box of rice look to be the same amount so I don't know how they say they doubled it up if we're spending that much money the least you could do is make sure the order is correct and then when you try to call the woman on the phone is argumentative telling me that it's only a noodle house they only sell noodles which I know is a lie so she puts the manager on the phone and he says he packed it up himself he knows what was in it but I know what we received and it was all wrong it's a shame that we won't be ordering from there no more this is the third or fourth time they've messed it up.
It was good, the lunch special was $8 and I had egg drop soup with a egg roll, and I had the chicken and broccoli as my entree.
Staff is always very friendly and professional. Salt & Pepper Shrimp ? is delicious.
