We went to Cheddars for the first time on Saturday. We've heard great reviews. I, on the other hand, will not be recommending this restaurant.Before sitting down at our booth I noticed a terrible smell coming from the bar area that ruined my appetite. I only took 3 bites of my food because I was so disgusted. My husband ordered the bacon cheese burger and said it was alright. After we left he became uncomfortable for the rest of the afternoon. Later that night he was sick with food poisoning. We are very disappointed with our first trip to Chedders. We will never be back, to any location.
Not good. Cold and stale food across the board after prior good experiences. It’s a chain and I knew what to expect, but was really disappointed in how bad it was on this visit. Fries were cold and stale. Chicken fried steak was plain. Ribs felt like they were microwaved. Had a prior good experience, so hoping they get it together for when I want a quick chain experience.
Amazing food! The best service I've ever had at a chain restaurant! Adam got us everything we needed, checked on us frequently, and even made sure we got the right sauces on our kid's meal! Everything was correct, fresh, and hot when brought out. I would give this visit more stars if I could! When we come back, we're definitely asking for Adam as our server again! I can't recommend him enough!
Was very good service. Just a little slow but worth it. If they mess your order up or even you find out if you dont like what you got, just ask and I'm sure they'll accommodate. The waiters and even manger are very professional and treat their customers with nothing but respect. And food was really good too.
They accomidated a 9 party table immediately....server was good...food was tasty
My wife and I have been to Cheddar's 6 or 7 times over the last 18 months. And for us, the experience has ranged between fairly good and just acceptable.Our last visit with 2 friends, resulted in acceptable food and below average service. This was mid-afternoon on the 17th of December with less than half of the tables filled. Our server was nice enough, and she came by the table often enough, but she managed to get our order wrong on three out of four meals...and we had to remind her about our drink order 3 times.The food is quality was just acceptable, with good portions sizes, but table delivery was skewed for two diners by over 5 minutes due to our server' errors.Given a track record of ho him food, and shoddy service, I don't see us returning to Cheddar's anytime be soon. So many better choices in the immediate area.

I visited for lunch with my mom, and two relatives who had just arrived from Ireland and hadn't eaten breakfast. Our meal was taking a VERY long time to arrive, and the restaurant wasn't packed. I finally asked our waiter what happened. He said our order was somehow given to the wrong table, and ours was being cooked again. My cousin's ribs were overcooked, and her husband didn't receive the side of rice he ordered, but beans instead. They received their two meals free, and we were given a free dessert to share. Although they tried to make it right, the entire experience of welcoming them to Texas, and to a good meal, was ruined. I was embarrassed at the restaurant I chose, and had to apologize to them instead.
So surprised I haven't come here more often. The food is great. The salmon and steaks are seasoned amazingly. The staff was great. Dealt with the low employee rate really well. They deserved a great tip for their good nature alone.
