Casa de Colombia is a favorite of mine, especially when there is a Colombian fútbol game happening. That was not the case this trip for lunch which just means it isn’t as loud or busy. I enjoy the flavors from South America. I have to start with the Tequeños- Venezuelan cheese sticks. The dough is great! Also had a maracuya (passion fruit) juice. Lots of juice selections. I went and ordered a bunch of stuff this go around getting sweet plantains, an empanada and arepa and sopa de ajiaco. The empanada too entirely too long (and should have been comped); I think they forgot about it. 4 stars because the service wasn’t the best, unfortunately.
They should tell you at the door that your order is going to take 40 minutes, not after you order. Table that came way after us got their food first and was a bigger group. We ate at different times which resulted in us taking bits from their plates. When the rest of the food came out, it was cold. There was more fat than actual steak. Steak was also done medium instead of well done. Food was nothing special. Total was over $100. Definitely not worth it. Waiter was nice though.
Man, what a wonderful experience. I had the first plate listed on their menu, it included steak, pork, rice, beans, plantains, avocado, an egg, and a rice cake. It was delicious.Plus their salsa was amazing... loved it!
We’ve been to Colombia and my husband is Dominican. Food was ok but not 5 stars.Some things better than others. Fish takes a really long time. Yuca and drinks were amazing!
We always go here when in Austin, and have done so for years. The arepas are excellent, as are all of the steak dishes. Service is friendly, informal and fast, and the food is excellent quality and value for money. They accommodate larger groups very well, in addition to smaller parties. You can even buy some Colombian delicacies at the front of the restaurant to take home. Highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere but not too kid friendly. Very trendy for the young crowd. Very friendly staff. The tables were dirty but otherwise great experience not a long wait either given downtown Austin was packed with people.
Nice place, ok food and high prices. The cocunut drink with no alcohol was $18. Our waitress was very passive aggressive.

It was very busy and the waitstaff handled it wonderfully. The food was delicious and I’d love to return when it was less busy so I enjoy the space more.
