My favorite Chinese buffet in Austin area. Very popular. Decent price. Mongolian Grill.Servers are good, but Don't come here for friendly service.
Cold food was served at room temperature. Hot food was served at cold. Not plenty dishes to choose. The grill Mongolian guy took half of my dish to the floor and as I watching him, he almost want to take those food back to my dish. So make sure stay there to watch him cook. The food to look for:Chicken wing and the Star shape cookies.
Hot, delicious, fresh food. Our server Mina was friendly and helpful. Great variety of dishes. (We went for the dinner buffet)I'm not sure why there are such bad reviewers for this place; we had a great experience and there were many other patrons there who also seemed to be having a good time :)
DO NOT EAT HERE! Waist of money was $78 dollars for 4 people. Food tasted old, nasty, and greasy. the food that wasn’t nasty had no flavor at all. Even the salad tasted like it’s been sitting out for hours. Waiters were rude, never gave us our drinks. On top of that they made us use paper plates and plastic forks that would break every time you used them.PLEASE READ DO NOT EAT HERE.
Being from New York it's hard to live up to that standard of Chinese food. That being said, first time here and it was not bad at all. I will only eat food that was just placed out to insure freshness. I would definitely come back and I would recommend this buffet.
Food is over salted, over seasoned. Taste really bad. Nothing tasted good.Never again. This picture describes the overall feel of this place.
Maybe because of covid, maybe because it was NYE, but the food here has always had decent flavor, not tonight. It wasn't bad but really simple dishes were over cooked almost to the point of being inedible. This restaurant is my go to buffet so I'll give it another try in a month
Giving it a 3, nothing special about the place. The quality of food could be better if they cooked smaller batches more frequently. For around 20 bucks I'd rather just order out Chinese food and enjoy it. not worth the calories imo.
Everything was really good as far as the food goes The service was kind of s***** though. She gave us kind of an attitude. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures
5 stars solely for the above and beyond wait staff! We had a birthday party and the waitress who was assisting us exceeded all expectations. Her attention to detail and caring attitude set this place above most restaurants within the area that cater to party events. I must say I had my doubts at first coming in but I left very satisfied and bummed that I decided to only partake in their Mongolian grill and sushi/sashimi.I can’t say or recommend to much of the food on the buffet and that’s solely because I filled myself up on the Mongolian grill.Based Solely for the looks of the buffet food that my party had gotten, everything looked delicious but judging by their expressions and amount of times everyone cleaned their plates, yes multiple plates per person were cleaned, it seemed to have tasted exceedingly well.We also had a picky eater with us and this is one of the few times he’s asked for more food before we left; so from a picky eater kids perspective the food must have been good to get him to ask for seconds and thirds. This kid doesn’t ask for more unless it’s Mac & cheese and there wasn’t any Mac & Cheese there that I saw.The Mongolian grill was on par with others in the area but that might have solely been my fault as the cook added a few other things to my plate that he said would pair well. Reguardless of the additions, it was good and on par with some other Mongolian grills within the area.Their sashimi was excellent as well and I was left quite surprised as I wouldn’t have expected that level of quality from a buffet. They’re not anywhere near the quality of established specialized sushi restaurants but they are hands down significantly well above their competitors and at the entrance of their own sushi restaurant with just the generic options they have for a buffet.I would like to come back and experience more kinds of their sushi should they decide to expand to other sushi specialties or nigiri. I will be making a return trip in order to taste the quality of the buffet food as remembering everyone’s [multiple] plates being cleared has me wanting to experience Buffet Kings savory food for my self.
