My husband and I decided we want burgers for dinner on a Tuesday night and because of the pandemic, most places close early nowadays. Hubby suggested we go to Billy's on Burnet since he and his soccer buddies go there all the time after their pick-up games. We got the wings and cheese curds as appetizers and I got the Swiss burger while he got the patty melt. Everything was delicious and the cheap Texas beer made it all the better. I love love love the ranch/blue cheese dip that comes with the wings!We chatted a bit with the staff on our way out since it was somewhat of a slow night for them and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. It's definitely a hole in the wall/dive bar type of place; and so chill out with all the high expectations and you'll be sure to have an enjoyable experience.
The uptown and Cobra are the best burgers and their fries was pretty delicious. They are like the oldest bar around in town and they have good music, outdoor seating, plenty of parking, games are arcade and a pool table. You could probably find good deals on their beers and they have a special price lunch burgers between 11:00 and 2 weekdays. Their burgers are really good for the price and that would definitely come back for the fries as well to play pool.

Id give this place a zero if possible. I used to love Billy's but something happened and the people thatbwork here could care less if you have a good time or not. We were going to have a big family lunch here, they didn't even have half of the appetizer menue and the person at the bar was beyond rude, it just seemed that he didn't want our business and made a point to tell me they aren't a restaurant they're a bar. So my party of 13 left and went to another restaurant. That may be the last time I've ever been to Billy's but oh well. There are far to many good places to eat in the area that welcome your business.
Was in town for ACL, was looking for someplace to watch the Packers/Bengals game. First place we went to turned us away bc one person in our party wasn't 21. Found this place instead & man were we HAPPY! Perfect place to watch the Packers, tons of diehard fans made the game awesome to watch. Beer was cold and the food was great. No complaints, next time we're in town and the packers are playing, you'll find us there. GO PACK GO!
Local staple is what I was told. Many beers on tap and some greasy fried meals to go with it. Had the Mushroom swiss burger, and fries. It's big that I couldn't finish it. They do offer vegan options. Had a cider instead of beer, it was still good!!!
The food was good, great sized portions too! The patio was packed but everyone really were enjoying themselves. Looks like a good place to hang out often.

Large vegetarian food and beer menu. The food is great comfort-type fare...vegetarian frito pie, chili, hot dogs, etc.
